Tokens On My Radar! | Getting It All Together... Part 1

Thatz Zalot of Tokens (2).png

I have been talking about this topic for a while now and might have even mentioned me doing a post. The thing is, there’s so many tokens involved, I had to figure out exactly how was I going to tackle this. I’ve decided that the best way to tackle this is to just look at my wallet in pick out about 10 tokens and chart them and write a little about them. Eventually I would like my charts to be labeled by what type of tokens they are but first I’ve got to get the list together.

There are 99 tokens in my wall and of course I’m not interested in them all. But I am interested in at least 50% of them, maybe a few more and then there are a few tokens that I like that aren’t on hive. This recording is to not only share with you but to help me keep track of what I accumulate in the tokens that interest me.
Just about everything I collect, buy, & hodl is because of Hive. Some things I was introduce as a result of being an active member of the CTP community.

Now 99 tokens are a lot and even 50 tokens is a serious spread to keep up with, but you gotta know what you got, And if you desire to hold a certain amount of some tokens you gotta know how far you got to go. Now this isn’t a race or anything, it’s just that there is an overwhelming amount of tokens that will peak your interest just as they have mine.

So without further ado, here is my first chart;

Chart 1 On My Radar 2.png

Some of these tokens I’m not sure what to call them, like #CTPSB, I think of it as an income token but then again it doesn’t give bits of many tokens just CTP tokens which is the community token that the CTPSB was born from and it’s mor like a miner token, so that’s why I’m not sure where that belongs.

Some of these tokens have more then on function, like the ‘ALIVE’ & ‘BRO’ tokens they are also community tokens. With ‘BRO’ you can earn from delegations to as well as just from hodling.

Now when you look at what I would like to hodl some of the numbers look really big & some might even think it’s an impossible number to reach. The thing is these are lifetime numbers that may or may not change but I don’t expect to reach them in a year or anything like that. I just want to hold that many should I be that fortunate.

In a future post I will elaborate on all these tokens with a little info on them and state why I want to hold them & what their benefits are for hodling them.

Before I go, let me ask you, Do You Have A Plan?

This is an awesome idea, Char.
I will find this very helpful as I have a lot of various tokens and have no idea what many of them are doing for me if anything.
I look forward to your series.

Thanks!
I am really into the income tokens & the tipping tokens. With the income tokens that's where a lot of tokens com from that you have no idea what they are. Like with the Index token you get drips of about 20 other tokens.
I also have a thing for nearly any token that pays me any amount of it's own or other tokens, so I thought others would be interested in this info too. And it'll help me keep track as they grow.

Great to see you mapping out the tokens you like Charletta, and as to ALIVE it also pays out daily staking rewards, plus rewards on delegation to @aliveandthriving was just launched, you get paid in ALIVEM for that, then there is a weekly staking contest and a weekly burning contest as well, keep up your great work and stay awesome.

When I first entered crypto I bought Matic at 0.02$. No idea what it was just finding and buying low-priced tokens with a possible future. My mistake was not playing the long game, I can't complain though, I made 10X.
Going to check out the plan now :)

Yeah, well when I got into this it was always for the long haul, but if I hadn't had a mentor I probably would have done something like you did. The thing I hate is that on other blockchains you have to deal with high fees. That's okay if you're cashing out 10's of thousands of dollars but it really hurts you in the long run if you cashing out less then $1,000.

Yes, the idea of the plan is that you complete each task and then post about it each day. I know that is a bit stressful for me as most of the time I can only get in one post a day, so while I will do the activities daily I will only post every few days. In this life you have to do what works for you.

Hive is a forgiving environment for people new to cryptocurrency. Losing money hurts no matter where it happens, but at least losses are limited and you have a community of fellow Hivers willing to answer whatever questions you have.

Once you're confident about what you're doing on Hive, then go into the world beyond Hive if only to see if it suits your style.

Yes Hive is a very forgiving community and yes losing money hurts but you have to expect that's a possibility when it comes to investing in anything.

I have been on hive since it hardforked from steem and am very confident with what I'm doing. The real issue lies with when you want to go beyond to see what suits you, you are somewhat discouraged, by half answers to questions. When you ask what to do next or where to go to move on, you're told how difficult things are instead of what you need to do or where you can go, like a website or tool you need.

The real issue lies with when you want to go beyond to see what suits you, you are somewhat discouraged, by half answers to questions.

It's good to keep things "in house," so to speak, but at some point it will be necessary to venture forth beyond the Hive ecosystem. By that time, we should have a decent idea of what's out there for us to explore, or at least what the leading alternatives are.

When you ask what to do next or where to go to move on, you're told how difficult things are instead of what you need to do or where you can go, like a website or tool you need.

This is true. That's more of a person problem than a Hive problem: some of us are more attuned to the needs of readers than others. Many people come to our posts seeking solutions to problems or answers to questions, and the more we deliver for them the better we do as bloggers. Part of that is adding value to our content as we engage.

If we're in the group of bloggers who remain less attuned to the needs of our readers, then sooner or later we realize this and adjust our blogging to become better. Sometimes we have no choice to to arrive at this lesson the hard way (if we even get the opportunity to make that discovery the hard way).

I do have stuff outside of Hive but I'm still learning about Hive that I haven't ventured out to learn more about those things. Maybe some time after I get through this series, I'll seek out more info on those other things.

If we're in the group of bloggers who remain less attuned to the needs of our readers, then sooner or later we realize this and adjust our blogging to become better.

The funny thing is that as the community I cane to Hive with is a community of affiliate marketers & entrepreneurs. They say they want to help us build our businesses. The one thing I find is that at this point they're starting to be like so many others from years past. They keep things from you like it's some kind of secret.

haha, had to chop in here, my boyfriend was so proud he found matic all by own research I think it was at 7 cents at the time we held loads of them. Sold it way before the boom of the price to buy into (wait for it) cub ...

That didn't end nearly as great as it would have been holding the matic :)

Before I go, let me ask you, Do You Have A Plan?

No, I don't have a plan, I never did it on Hive, just went along with whatever came out, but since I joined ListNerds some kind of plan is starting to shape up wanting to keep myself up there in top #50 and try to progress in #30s.

Curiosity questions here: What do you do with the INDEX token? Also, what is your plan with the BEE token?

CHEERS!

Mapping out different tokens and their uses would be very useful, especially with commentary. I see you have SPI and LBI investment and growth tokens on your list. I like EDS and CL savings and income tokens, too (EDS pays Hive, CL pays LEO).

Yes, I want people to know about the benefits of theses tokens, especially newbies who don't know where to start or what to invest their time & money in to.

Yes, I do have those and also a little CL. I just learned about EDS and plan to get that too as well as more SPI, LBI & CL.

That's a lot of tokens on your list!
Especially those 100k ones, great goals!

I haven't updated my hive goals yet as I'm still neck deep into the bureaucratic bullshit, so I'm waiting until I can actually have some good thoughts about it before I just randomly (again) throw in some numbers that I achieve way too early as I have no clue how quickly I can grow them in reality.

I mean the CTP, SPS & Listnerds goals were reached long before.. I remember CTP goal was 10k, SPS also 10K, but listnerds i put at 2500 or something :) not 100% sure how much but hey, we know how that went :)

I hope this time I can focus on just a few, but I yet have to decide, meanwhile I just keep grinding CTP on the market and hoping to build the HP a bit faster while the price is lower than some months ago.

For the most part some of these tokens are just in my wallet but I also have a little FOMO going on and want to have at least some of that token that suddenly takes off. I hate that it wasn't so easy to get into crypto when bitcoin first started. I remember it was only a quarter in USD. But you had to have hundreds of dollars just to set things up, there was no where to go & just put $5 in and your all set.I watched it for years & couldn't be a part of it. I'd be on easy street now!

Anyways, I see so much potential in a lot of these tokens but you need to hodl big numbers in order to see a return. Notice that while putting a number on them does make them goals but there is no date for any of them, they're just desires I'd like to meet so it kinda just means this is what I want. Who knows if I'll even get close to some, but it's nice to dream.

Setting goals are so tricky, I have my Hive goals which I concentrate on just a few tokens for the year. And talking about ListNerds..... it's unbelievable! I never imagined it growing the way it does either, but after I really got into it, I did the same & blew my little 2000 goal out the window, I raised it to 5000 and that fly by too. 15000 is the goal now and I'm almost there so I raise it again. By the way, Congrats on your 100,000 ListNerds!

Right now I'm in a place where buying with fiat is not a big option for me. It seems it's always that way when the prices are down. The good thing is that prices are down across the board and I came into a little unexpected money the other day & I was able to buy 1 whole litecoin, $59 at the time.

So your undecided, maybe my charts & writings could help you out with which direction to go. Building your HP is of course a good thing to do. Last year, I had a huge HP goal and found that it's almost impossible to build your HP & other tokens too. Especially if those tokens have to be bought & can't be earned, after all you need the hive to buy the tokens so you have to chose buy other tokens or power up.
That's the down side when your on a budget or maybe don't even have one.

... I was able to buy 1 whole litecoin, $59 at the time.

Speaking only for myself (and even I don't have the funds for this yet), LTC is going to be just as big as Bitcoin-- and it took many years before anyone took Bitcoin seriously. If I had the funds, I would stack LTC like it was at a fire sale.

(Before I continue, I have to state the obligatory DYOR here.)

All I know about LTC is this:

  • Litecoin is essentially a modified Bitcoin;
  • Litecoin is so old that it come from the 1st generation of altcoins;
  • While BTC is capped at 21M, LTC is capped 4 times higher than that at 84M LTC.
  • Like Hive, Litecoin is criminally undervalued.

Compared to Bitcoin, right now Litecoin is like Cub Finance (CUB): it won't be down all the time.

Yes I wish I could buy at least just 1 LTC and hold it for that day. I too believe that someday LTC is going to do just like BTC.

Right now though, it's my go to for buying my Hive. But, I always keep a little of it for emergency situations.

For buying HIVE, LTC is way better than ETH/ERC20 or BNB/BEP20.

LTC may not do much; but what it does, it does very well. That's all we can really expect from any cryptocurrency made to be used as money.
