Game Concept: Power Up Elixirs

One of the possible game scenarios that I'm not a fan of is mirror matches. Since WOO is still in the Alpha phase and has a limited NFT collection, the meta would eventually be solved and a superior lineup of wrestlers would emerge. In order to further diversify the gameplay, there is a plan to introduce wrestling gears later on. But that again would also be solved and mirror matches would once again occur.

But what I'm a big fan of is having a unique character, like choosing one particular card from your collection and focusing your strongest gears on it. Another way to do this is to modify its stats that it becomes unique from all other copies of that card. And this is my proposed game concept, Power Up Elixirs.

What are Power Up Elixirs?

I first encountered the elixir mechanic when I played the original Diablo game on PC/PSX. Basically, elixirs are consumables that permanently increase a particular character attribute by a set amount of points. I imagine a sample of elixirs for WOO would be something like this:

Protein Shake: Permanently increase Damage by 0.01
Amino Acid: Permanently increase Health by 0.01
Beta-alanine: Permanently increase Speed by 0.01

I'm not sure about the actual effects of the food supplements I've given as an example since I don't bodybuild. But you will notice that the stat bonuses are very minimal. This is to make the effects unnoticeable at first and will only see a significant impact in very high quantities. Maybe it can be sold for an absurd amount like $WOO 1,000,000 per power up elixir. Maybe elixirs can also be in the form of NFTs that can be found in cities like a super rare item that can occasionally drop while doing matches.

Either way, I know that there are players that would like this feature. It will be a nice token sink for those who are willing to put in the necessary requirements for so little gains. Having your favorite wrestler build up power even if in small increments is a nice feeling to have and may appeal to some WOO players.
