Immortalis Is Here And I Absolutely Hate It

Immortalis' stats has finally been revealed and it is an abomination. I absolutely hate it not because it's not a good card, in fact, it's too good. It just so happen that it demolishes every strategy that I am fond of using.

My main problem here is shatter. Giving every unit the ability to destroy armor affects a lot of my favored cards. Being a Life and Water splinter inclined player, my usual go-to lineup includes buffing my units with tons of armor. My best play includes Kelya with a Legionnaire Alvar as the main tank supported by Venari Wavesmith and River Hellondale.

Immortalis is obviously also especially strong against magic heavy builds. They usually rely on armor as their main defense. This makes Queen Mycelia a good combination card with Obsidian. On top of that, Immortalis also weakens the life while giving void to every enemy unit.

Here's what I think the other cards have to say about Immortalis.

"Come on, bro. We made Magic cool again. Why rain on our parade?"

"I kinda needed that armor. That's the whole point of my card ability."

"Wow. I literally had ONE thing I'm good at. Thanks for nothing."

Kidding Aside

I think Immortalis is a great addition to the game. Having a counter to rampant magic and heavy armor decks is good for the overall diversity of tactics in the game. I'm just salty that it affects my personal favorite strategies. Thanks for reading my useless rant. I just had to get it out there. 🤣
