Hello to all movie lovers! I recently had the opportunity to rewatch an Asian film that fascinated me from the first time I saw it, mostly because of the subject it deals with and the unexpected way in which each of the events unfolds.

Parasites, tells us the story of a family drama or, to be more exact, the way in which the Kim family risks their lives in order to survive. They do whatever it takes to get ahead, regardless of the methods they have to use for it, from robbery, blackmail or fraud, they are always willing to put together a plan that benefits them. And that's how they show it to us at the beginning, stealing the neighbors' Wi-Fi, persuading or mediocrely elaborating their work assembling boxes for a pizzeria. Still, the family is persevering and waiting for their next "big hit."

To his good fortune Ki-woo, he is visited by his friend Min, who tells him that he plans to recommend him to take his place by tutoring the daughter of a wealthy family in English. He is convinced that despite the fact that the young man could not enter the university all the times he has applied, he has enough knowledge to be able to opt for the job, not to mention that he trusts him to take care of his student while he studies abroad. This opportunity for the boy is not wasted and he decides to go to the Park's house, after gaining the trust of the naive owner of the house after his first day of teaching, the young man takes the opportunity to begin to include the members of his family , one by one in the house.

Ki-jung, is Ki-woo's sister. She is a cunning girl, with a strong character, very good at fraud, especially for editing and forging documents. She is a very good actress, getting to work in different jobs where she used her gift for improvisation, as an assistant at weddings and events. Her memory of information allows her to remember enough to be able to pose as an arts tutor and later as a private psychologist for the youngest son of the upper-class family.

The father, named Jim ki-taek a man who has worked multiple jobs throughout his life who wants the best for his family, is brought into the house to take the place of driver, who is later fired of falling into a trap. At first, he manages to get along quite well with his boss and manages to develop a certain liking for him and his wife. More over time, he discovers that things are not how he imagined.

Finally Chung-sook, the mother, who shows us that in her youth she was a lot in a sport to the point of winning a medal, is a woman with a lot of strength and therefore physical strength. She is the last of the family members to enter the Park's house, when they manage to get rid of the housekeeper so that she finally ends up taking her place.

So many years using his skills of persuasion and improvisation, will allow each member of the Kim family to gain the trust of the naive owners of the house and that is, they go so far as to rehearse their dialogues, which actors, demonstrating how far they are capable of get your cunning Once established as workers for the wealthy Parks, the Kim family feels that all their problems are over and that they finally have their lives figured out, living the good life when their bosses aren't looking... Until one night, all their Plans start to fall, just like a stack of dominoes, one after another.

Without a doubt, it is a film that, despite not having special effects or action scenes, manages to capture you and introduce you to suspense. Each step they take is unpredictable and that is their attraction. As a personal opinion, I really liked that despite the family's bad intentions of living at the expense of those in a better position, it shows that the Kim family is not really bad, but rather they had to manage in their own way to get ahead ( although in a negative way), their family union is remarkable in them, because despite everything, each one trusts the other when it comes to making their plans and despite everything, they always stay together. I think that this is a good thing to take, regardless of the bad things that happen around us, it is always good to be smart and mobilize, but without forgetting that each act has its consequence.

¡Hola a todos los amantes del cine! Hace poco tuve la oportunidad de volver a ver una película asiática que me dejó fascinada desde la primera vez que la vi, más que nada por tema que trata y la manera inesperada en la que van sucediendo cada uno de los acontecimientos.

Parásitos, nos cuenta la historia de un drama familiar o para ser más exactos, la forma en que la familia Kim se juega la vida para poder subsistir. Ellos hacen lo que sea para poder salir adelante, sin importar los métodos que tengan que utilizar para ello, desde el robo, chantaje o la estafa, ellos siempre están dispuestos a armar un plan que los beneficie. Y así nos lo muestran al principio, robando el Wifi de los vecinos, persuadiendo o elaborando mediocremente su trabajo armando cajas para una pizzería. Aún así, la familia es perseverante y están a la espera de su siguiente "gran golpe."

Para su buena fortuna Ki-woo, recibe la visita de su amigo Min, quien le dice que tiene pensado recomendarlo para que ocupe su lugar dándole clases particulares de inglés a la hija de una familia rica. Esta convencido de que a pesar de que el joven no pudo ingresar a la universidad todas las veces que ha postulado, cuenta con el suficiente conocimiento para poder optar por el trabajo, sin mencionar que confía en él para que cuide de su alumna mientras él estudiará en el extranjero. Esta oportunidad para el muchacho no es desaprovechada y decide ir a la casa de los Park, luego de ganarse la confianza de la ingenua dueña de la casa tras su primer día de enseñanza, el joven aprovecha para comenzar a meter a los miembros de su familia, uno a uno en la casa.

Ki-jung, es la hermana de Ki-woo. Es una chica astuta, de carácter fuerte, muy buena para la estafa, sobretodo para la edición y falsificación de documentos. Es muy buena actriz, llegando a desempeñarse en distintos trabajos en donde utilizaba su don para la improvisación, como asistente en bodas y eventos. Su retentiva de información le permite memoriar lo suficiente para poder hacerse pasar por una tutora de artes y luego como psicóloga particular del hijo menor de la familia de clase alta.

El padre, llamado Jim ki-taek un hombre que ha tenido múltiples trabajos a lo largo de su vida que desea lo mejor para su familia, es introducido a la casa para que ocupe el lugar de chofer, al cual despiden luego de caer en una trampa. Al principio, logra congeniar bastante bien con su jefe y logra desarrollar cierta simpatía hacía él y su esposa. Más con el pasar del tiempo, va descubriendo que las cosas no son cómo se lo imaginaba.

Finalmente Chung-sook, la madre, quien nos muestran que en su juventud fue bastante en un deporte hasta el punto de ganar una medalla, es una mujer con bastante fortaleza y por ende fuerza física. Es la última de los integrantes de la familia en ingresar en la casa de los Park, cuando se las arreglan para deshacerse de la ama de llaves para que ella termine ocupando finalmente su lugar.

Tantos años utilizando sus habilidades de persuación e improvisación, le permitirá a cada miembro de la familia Kim, irse ganando la confianza de los ingenuos dueños de la casa y es que, llegan hasta ensayar sus diálogos, cuales actores, demostrando hasta dónde es capaz de llegar su astucia. Una vez establecidos como trabajadores de los acaudalados Park, la familia Kim siente que todos sus problemas se han acabado y que por fin tienen su vida resuelta, dándose la buena vida cuando sus patrones no los observan... Hasta que una noche, todos sus planes comienzan a caer, al igual que una pila de dominos, uno tras otro.

Sin lugar a dudas es una película que, a pesar de no contar con efectos especiales, ni escenas de acción, logra capturarte e introducirte en el suspenso. Cada paso que dan, es impredecible y es eso mismo su atractivo. Como opinión personal, me gustó mucho que a pesar de las malas intenciones de la familia de vivir a costa de los de mejor posición, se nota que la familia Kim no es realmente mala, sino que tuvieron que arregarsela a su modo para salir adelante (aunque de una forma negativa), su unión familiar es resaltable en ellos, pues a pesar de todo, cada uno confía en el otro a la hora de fabricar sus planes y a pesar de todo, siempre se mantienen unidos. Creo que eso es algo bueno a tomar, sin importar las cosas malas que ocurren a nuestra alrededor, siempre es bueno tener astucia y movilizarse, pero sin olvidarnos que cada acto, tiene su consecuencia.
