Hello all street art lovers! Last weekend, I took a short trip to the city of Barquisimeto (Venezuela) and during my walk through the eastern area, I had the opportunity to find that there were new murals and graffiti. My favorite was the following:

It looks like a "mushroom/eye" mix and as a fan of the fungi kingdom, it caught my attention immediately, not to mention that it's not easy to find large drawings in the city. Very close to that drawing, I found a mural that was located very close to some graffiti that I showed some time ago. The mural appears to have been made during the city's anniversary celebration. I really like the colors it has, it makes it look quite cheerful. In it, you can see some iconic figures of the city, such as sculptures and buildings.

As for the new graffiti that I found, what caught my attention the most was the use of a silver spray, which made the graffiti stand out in the dark (since these photographs were taken at night). It was very pleasant and emotional for me to find these murals, although I regret that there were others that I could not photograph, since I saw them during my trip on the bus. But that gives me hope that in my next trips, I will have the opportunity to encounter the new things that artists have done to harmonize the streets.

¡Hola a todos los amantes del arte callejero! El fin de semana pasado, realicé un pequeño viaje a la ciudad de Barquisimeto (Venezuela) y durante mi paseo por la zona Este, tuve la oportunidad de encontrarme con que habían murales y grafitis nuevos. Mi favorito, fue el siguiente:

Parece una mezcla de "hongo/ojo" y como fan del reino fungi, llamó mi atención de inmediato, sin mencionar que no es nada fácil hallar dibujos grandes en la ciudad. Muy cerca de ese dibujo, hallé un mural que estaba ubicado muy cerca de unos grafitis que mostré hace algún tiempo. El mural parece haber sido realizado durante la celebración del aniversario de la ciudad. Me gusta muchísimo por los colores que tiene, lo hace lucir bastante alegre. En el mismo, se pueden apreciar algunas figuras icónicas de la ciudad, como esculturas y edificaciones.

En cuanto a los grafitis nuevos que encontré, lo que más me llamó la atención de ellos, fue el uso de un spray plateado, lo que hacía que el grafiti resaltase en la oscuridad (pues estas fotografías, fueron tomadas durante la noche). Fue muy agradable y emotivo para mí hallarme con estos murales, aunque lamento que hubieron otros que no pude fotografiar, pues los vi durante mi travesía en el bus. Pero eso me da esperanza para en mis próximos viajes, tener la oportunidad de hallarme con lo nuevo que los artistas hayan realizado para armonizar las calles.
