¡Hola a todos! Hace unos días atrás vi la que se ha vuelto una de las películas más bizarras que he mirado en mi vida. No soy fanática del trabajo del gran Junji Ito porque me impresiono con facilidad je je A ver, me explico mejor: me encantan sus obras, tienen un encanto morboso que te hace apartar la vista, pero volverla para examinar a detalle todas las cruentas escenas. Pero, como no me gusta el género de terror, no soy capaz de consumir su trabajo del todo (fui incapaz de terminar de leer el manga Uzumaki, me perturbé demasiado 😣). Aún así, trato de ver fandubs hechos por fanáticos, acompañada, para no sufrir de un paro cardíaco ja ja Vi Junji Ito Collection y hubieron varias historias que me fascinaron. Lástima que sea una miedosa sin remedio, por lo que, aunque me encante el estilo perturbador y las historias bizarras de éste autor, prefiero evitarlo para mantener mi salud mental ja ja Aclarado el punto de que soy una miedosa, hoy les vengo a hablar sobre una película de anime, de una de las obras de éste pintoresco señor. Una película que me dejó espantada pero que la vi de principio a fin, quedando con dudas existenciales y con mayor miedo al océano.

Hi everyone! A few days ago I saw what has become one of the most bizarre films I have ever watched. I'm not a fan of the work of the great Junji Ito because I am easily impressed ha ha Let's see, I'll explain better: I love his works, they have a morbid charm that makes you look away, but return to examine them in detail the bloody scenes. But, since I don't like the horror genre, I am not able to consume his work at all (I was unable to finish reading the Uzumaki manga, I was too disturbed 😣). Still, I try to watch fan-made fandubs, accompanied, so as not to suffer from cardiac arrest ha ha Vi Junji Ito Collection and there were several stories that fascinated me. Too bad I'm hopelessly scared, so, although I love the disturbing style and bizarre stories of this author, I prefer to avoid it to maintain my mental health ha ha Clarified the point that I am scared, today I come to talk about an anime movie, one of the works of this picturesque man. A movie that left me scared but I saw it from beginning to end, leaving me with existential doubts and with greater fear of the ocean.

La trama gira en torno a Kaori quién es novia de Tadashi, ambos están muy enamorados (ay que lindo 💗) y planean casarse si mal no recuerdo je je Ella se encuentra de vacaciones en una casa cerca de la playa en Okinawa. Como su novio se encuentra trabajando en Tokyo, ella está en compañía de sus amigas Aki y Erika. Todo bien hasta aquí, pues las chicas sólo quieren divertirse 😎🎶

The plot revolves around Kaori who is the girlfriend of Tadashi, both are very much in love (oh how cute 💗) and plan to get married if I remember correctly hehe She is on vacation in a house near the beach in Okinawa. Since her boyfriend is working in Tokyo, she is in the company of her friends Aki and Erika. So far so good, because the girls just want to have fun 😎🎶

Luego de un paseo, se disponen a volver a la casa, en eso Aki siente un olor extraño, más exactamente a podrido, por los alrededores. Las chicas no le toman importancia y continúan su trayecto. Es en el momento en que Kaori abre la puerta, en el que un fuerte hedor emana de la casa. Se apresuran en abrir las ventanas, para que el olor se vaya. No tienen idea de que pudo haberlo ocasionado, pero se lo atribuyen a algún alimento en descomposición (por cierto, no tiene nada que ver, pero se me dañaron unos aguacates por no acordarme de ellos ja ja ya saben estén pendientes de los alimentos en casa o la putrefacción les hará recordar 😓).

After a walk, they prepare to return to the house, in that Aki feels a strange smell, more exactly rotten, around. The girls don't care about him and continue on their way. It is at the moment when Kaori opens the door, in which a strong stench emanates from the house. They rush to open the windows, so the smell goes away. They have no idea what could have caused it, but they attribute it to some decomposing food (by the way, it has nothing to do with it, but some avocados were damaged for not remembering them ha ha, you know, be aware of the food at home or putrefaction will remind you 😓).

Mientras las chicas piensan en éste asunto, una extraña criatura las observa desde las sombras. Una de las chicas escucha un ruido y en eso, emerge la criatura a toda velocidad, tratando de ocultarse. Están desconcertadas, un animal parece haber metido a la casa, pero no parece ser algún animal que ellas reconozcan. Alarmadas por el hecho, Kaori se apresura en aplastar al animal contra la pared, cuando éste se mete detrás de un mueble. Enorme es su sorpresa al descubrir de qué se trata: Una especie de pescado con patas picudas, que aparte de lucir como una abominación, desprende el olor a podrido que estuvieron sintiendo todo éste tiempo.

As the girls think about this matter, a strange creature watches them from the shadows. One of the girls hears a noise and at that, the creature emerges at full speed, trying to hide. They are puzzled, an animal seems to have come into the house, but it does not appear to be some animal that they recognize. Alarmed by the fact, Kaori rushes to smash the animal against the wall, when it gets behind a piece of furniture. Their surprise is enormous when they discover what it is: A kind of fish with pointed legs, which apart from looking like an abomination, gives off the rotten smell that they have been feeling all this time.

Kaori se deshace del pez y le comenta a Tadashi lo sucedido por teléfono, el cual no puede creer lo que la chica le cuenta y se lo toma a broma, no dándole mayor importancia. Kaori trata de no enfrascarse en el tema, sin saber que algo parece estar sucediendo entre las aguas del mar. Al día siguiente, todo parece ir con normalidad hasta que... ¡Un tiburón con patas se intenta meter por una de las ventanas de la casa! Las chicas entran en pánico, la criatura actúa errática y se abalanza contra ellas, lastimando a Erika en una "lucha" que a mi parecer, tuvo un exceso de escenas innecesarias, pues la chica queda en ropa interior 🙄

Kaori gets rid of the fish and tells Tadashi what happened on the phone, who cannot believe what the girl tells him and takes it as a joke, not giving it more importance. Kaori tries not to get caught up in the subject, unaware that something seems to be happening in the waters of the sea. The next day, everything seems to be going normally until ... A shark with legs tries to get through one of the windows of the house! The girls panic, the creature acts erratic and rushes against them, hurting Erika in a "fight" that, in my opinion, had an excess of unnecessary scenes, because the girl is left in her underwear 🙄

Deshacerse del tiburón no fue una labor sencilla, pero, hay algo que es mucho más preocupante y se da cuenta Kaori tras verlo por el balcón de la casa: Miles de aquellos peces con patas han salido del mar y corren como locos por todo el exterior. Parece una "revolución de los peces", liberándose de la prisión acuática en la que estuvieron sumergidos durante generaciones. Si le quitas el audio original y le pones black metal de fondo, tendrás un demencial video musical 😝🤘

Getting rid of the shark was not an easy task, but there is something that is much more worrying and Kaori realizes after seeing it from the balcony of the house: Thousands of those fish with legs have left the sea and are running like crazy all over the outside . It looks like a "fish revolution", breaking free from the aquatic prison in which they have been submerged for generations. If you remove the original audio and put black metal in the background, you will have a crazy music video 😝🤘

Es algo insólito, nadie sabe lo que está pasando y mucho menos las razones por las que los peces han desarrollado de pronto aquellas patas tan aterradoras. Las autoridades tratan de hacerse cargo, estudiando los restos, cerrando accesos y eliminando a las criaturas, pero son demasiadas y el hedor proveniente de ellas, es terrible. Tadashi se preocupa por Kaori tras ver todo en las noticias y la llama, tranquilizándose al saber que su novia está con bien. Sólo que, algo inesperado ocurre mientras que un simple atasco en el tráfico lleva a Tadashi a decirle a Kaori que no vuelva a Tokyo.

It is something unusual, nobody knows what is happening, much less the reasons why the fish have suddenly developed such terrifying legs. The authorities try to take charge, studying the remains, closing accesses and eliminating the creatures, but there are too many and the stench coming from them is terrible. Tadashi worries about Kaori after seeing everything on the news and calls her, reassuring himself that his girlfriend is fine. Only, something unexpected happens while a simple traffic jam leads Tadashi to tell Kaori not to go back to Tokyo.

Tras cortarse abruptamente la llamada Kaory se desespera. Necesita saber si su novio se encuentra bien, por lo que decide irse a Tokyo, a pesar de lo mencionado por Tadashi. Es en éste punto en donde la chica hace hasta lo imposible para volver a encontrarse con su amado mientras que los peces grotescos continúan emergiendo de las aguas ¿Qué les pasó para que llegaran hasta ese punto? Las preguntas van aumentando a medida que transcurre el filme, llevando al espectador a un desfile bizarro de lo que parece sacado de una horrible pesadilla.

After abruptly cutting off the call Kaory despairs. She needs to know if her boyfriend is okay, so she decides to go to Tokyo, despite what Tadashi mentioned. It is at this point where the girl does everything possible to meet her lover again while the grotesque fish continue to emerge from the waters. What happened to them to get to that point? The questions increase as the film progresses, taking the viewer into a bizarre parade of what seems to be taken from a horrible nightmare.

No les hago más spoilers por si se animan a verla. Es realmente muy extraña y atrapante, cada cosa que pasa te hace querer ver más sólo para saber qué rayos está pasando, aunque, si eres débil de mente como yo, las escenas perturbadoras acabaran por evitar que duermas tras verla (me paso, no pude dormir porque mi cerebro me mostraba las imágenes de la película y era horrible 😨🤣). De verdad, me encanta éste tipo de historias bizarras, porque llaman tanto mi curiosidad que logran que me vea una película de un género que no me gusta. Sin lugar a dudas Junji Ito es un maestro del horror extraño, así que, si otra animación sobre alguna de sus obras aparece frente a mí, suspiraré profundo, buscaré compañía y sin lugar a dudas lo veré aunque grite del miedo ¡Por qué se que valdrá la pena!

I do not make more spoilers in case you dare to see it. It is really very strange and captivating, each thing that happens makes you want to see more just to know what the hell is happening, although, if you are weak-minded like me, the disturbing scenes will end up preventing you from sleeping after seeing it (it happened to me, I couldn't sleep because my brain showed me the images from the movie and it was horrible 😨🤣). I really love these kinds of bizarre stories, because they appeal so much to my curiosity that they make me see a movie of a genre that I don't like. Without a doubt Junji Ito is a master of strange horror, so if another animation about any of his works appears in front of me, I will sigh deeply, I will look for company and without a doubt I will see him even if he screams out of fear. will be worth!
