Being a Woman vs. Being a Mother

Hello Ladies!

This post of mine is for all those ladies who are married and want to take the next towards expanding their family size by planning a baby.

First of all, this post is not to scare you. It is only meant for you to be able to critically evaluate your decision. Next, this is totally based on my experience, which can be different from other women or mothers. But yes, when I discuss my mom stories with my friends, most of them agree to most of them, hahah 😁

To start with, I never planned to be a mom. It was a drink and conceive thing for us. And we happily accepted it. It happened almost 4 years after our marriage, so I had a child almost 5 years into marriage, which is decent. Also, just to describe myself (because it really would impact your thought process and decision), I am a very independent and carrier oriented woman. I love to work, not only in office, but also at home. I like to give a lot of time to my home and myself. I am also someone who likes to party with friends late night. I am an emotional person too. I love my family. But when it comes to kids, I don't like them closely. As in, I can't cuddle and to koochi-koo with any other kid except mine. I like to watch them from a distance (if at all required to).

I've set the stage and now, let me share my experience.

I've given a few comparisons and there can be many more. In nutshell, I would like to say that motherhood is amazing. it calls for a lot of sacrifices, compromises, and basically giving up who you are (for some time offcourse). But still, those years are the best years of your life and no matter how much we crib, there's nothing that can beat the hug of your child.

I would really like to listen to other ladies' viewpoints here and also would love to answer questions from the to-be or new moms. Let's talk! @merit.ahama @nainaztengra @funshee @marynn @floraada @tibaire @explorewithsasha @leemah1 @sovebrito

How do you manage to have a date night when your schedule is fully packed?

Haha, nice question 😁

We have a househelp who takes care of him. But yes, it took us time for us to trust her with him. You need someone trustworthy to be able to leave your child alone with them. We are lucky to have someone.

Awee that's nice, good thing you have someone to look after your kid. It's hard to trust as I have experienced that with my brother getting a nanny since both of them were working and my nephew was not getting proper care and accidentally give him milk that was for a dog.

Being a mom is one of the greatest tasks in the world, so much to give up of ourselves but in the end, is one of the most rewarding tasks as well.

I wasn't that very closely with children as well but expecting my little one in the next few months, all I can think about now is how I'm going to shower him or her with all the love in the world when that time comes.

Same was with me. I am actually a child non-friendly person. But now I love Raag and my life revolves around him. That's how this relationship is.

Being a mom is really awesome! Looking back, sure it's really hard especially for a single mom like me but eight years later, I'm so proud that i have a smart beautiful girl who's really clingy and loves her mom so much ,☺️ Cheers to being a momma!

Being a single mom must be really tough, we are not able to manage him with 3 people around but kuddos to you for doing everything all by yourself. And when the result is so good, it feels proud.

Being a mum truly come with a huge responsibility and sacrifice but at the same time it's amazing.
Seen your little one smile will brighten your mood and you will laugh without even trying.
Being a first time mum, I find it hard to adjust at first but with time everything become easier.

True that! I have learned over time that kids don't grow, its the parents who mature and learn better how to manage their child better.

Being a mom is the most fun and lovely thing. It's a task but it's accompanies with much joy. Am a very productive mum, I wouldn't want anyone to hurt my kids for any unnecessary reason and having a feeling of someone to hug daily, cuddle and shower my love on is what makes me a lovely nother.

As mothers, being protective comes inherent. Your child's safety is your priority and we always have them in the back of our mind, no matter what we do.

Being a woman is a special gift from God although not all women were born with a golden spoon and have a well-groomed foundation. Some of us groomed ourselves to become great women or would I say the best of ourselves. being a woman comes with responsibility from a little girl to a teenager, to a woman, a wife, to a mother and then a grandmother. All these stages come with great responsibility if not managed well, regret for life.
Motherhood is you being responsible for a little human like you, every mother has a story about the birth of their child. As a young girl, I took care of my sister's child and I learn a lot. Before I got married my mum would always advice me on how to be a good mother and a good wife. Those words are the pillar in my home. Being a woman and Being a mother both comes with great responsibility.
