Gujarati Dabeli Recipe
Dabeli is a popular Sweet and Spicy snack originating from Gujarat and now famous across the globe. It is made using Pav with a filling of spicy, tangy mashed potato mixture. The stuffing is placed between the pav with mint and tamarind chutney. It is widely served as a breakfast item and also as an evening snack. If you visit Gujarat or Mumbai, you will find it very cheap at the road side thellas but they taste the best.

|1.||Boiled Potatoes||2 Units|
|2.||Chopped Onion||1 Unit|
|3.||Chopped Coriander Leaves||1/4 Cup|
|4.||Chilli Powder||1/2 TBSP|
|5.||Garam Masala||1/2 TBSP|
|7.||Chaat Masala||1 TBSP|
|8.||Butter||For Shallow Frying|
|9.||Roasted Peanuts||8-10 Units|
|10.||Pomegranate Seeds||2 TBSP|
|11.||Aloo Bhujiya||2 TBSP|
**Step 1: Boil the Potatoes and mash to a fine mixture. Add all spices, chopped onion and coriander leaves and mix well.
Step 2: Take a pav, cut it into half without breaking it.
Step 3: To one side of the pav, apply tamarind chutney and to the other side, apply mint chutney.
Step 4: Add the potato mixture. Place some chopped onion, pomegranate seeds and peanuts on the mixture. Also add some aloo bhujiya to give it a crispy taste.
Step 5: Cover the pav and toast it on the pan with some butter.
Step 6: Serve hot with tomato ketchup or garlic chutney.
