Hello Mommies!

Motherhood is a lovely feeling; fatherhood is different. When can talk about being a mother, it envisages feeling like love, affection, protection, strength, and feat. Fatherhood is very different from motherhood. A father doesn't carry the baby inside them yet they can feel them and love them as their own one. Isn't that even pure than a mother's love?

When I conceived, my husband wasn't ready, like most of the dads. He never wanted a baby; in fact, he was completely against having one. But he accepted my pregnancy with a lot of grace for he knew I wanted a child. That was totally unexpected of him but I guess the very feeling of being a father changed his mind.

Since the day our baby came, the father really changed.

  1. He grew a lot more responsible. He would ensure the doors are always closed, pillows are always in place, there's nothing on the floor that could hurt the baby. All of these were my major reasons for fights before he was born because he would not take care of any of these things.
  2. He started exercising to gain more strength so that he is able to pick up the baby for a longer period of time. He realized he was getting tired too early and wasn't able to carry him well. He controlled his diet and started a regular exercise to get fit.
  3. He started doing things he wants our child to do like reading, eating healthy, using good language, and watching meaningful series. He is following the concept of teaching by action and not by words.
  4. Most importantly, he has come up with a goal to raise our kid in the best possible manner, providing him the best of the facilities and imbibing in him morals and values to help him become a good human being. This I think is the most important feeling any parent should have. Without this, they cannot raise their child well.

There's no perfect definition of a father, everyone does their best for their child and so is my husband. I am proud of him as a dad!

I have not experienced the feeling before, but I experienced it in many of my friends and brothers. It seems that it is difficult at first, such as taking responsibility, but in the end everything is fine
