My first day @Kohler

I was waiting for this day since so long. 6.5 years I had stayed in the same organization and this was a big leap for me.

Unfortunately, it didn't kick start too well. I went to office with jaundice and could not really enjoy my first day, the new place and the team lunch they had planned for me. I just went to the office, collected my laptop and welcome kit, met my super boss and came back.

But that's ok, what if I didn't have a great start, the fact remains the same. I am a Kohler employee now and I plan to stay with the organization for as long as we both support each other. I will mark this week as a light one but I am going to prove my talent very soon.

Let me show you a glimpse of my new office.

The office was really cool with telephone booth room for employees to take their personal calls, cool sitting space where people can work and interact in an informal way, open meeting rooms, a nice canteen and an open sitting area to relax and have lunch. There was a weighing scale and a shoe cleaning machine as well.

There were machines installed for free tea and coffee and the coffee was too yumm.

The washrooms were so amazing that I didn't feel like really using them, LOL.

I also got a welcome kit which had a Kohler branded t-shirt, a coffee sipper, a diary and a pen, and a card holder.

All in all, the day was not so bad. I don't want to regret anything or blame myself for what happened. Such is life and such things can happen to any one of us. We just need to move past them and leave behind us what we think is not good enough.

I hope next week onwards I'm able to give my 100% to my work. Fingers crossed!
