My Life Without Hive

avatar

The number of blogs I write in a week has drastically reduced now. From 12 to 7 to I think 2-3, which is a drastic slowdown, something worth noticing.

What caused this slowdown?

  1. This slow down happened in early April when my house help left and I had to manage my household, Raag, and office all by myself (with little help from my husband because even he was occupied too much with his work). My flow almost broke in those 22 days and I could never pace up after that.
  2. Reduced upvotes compared to what I used to get earlier. I had created a following and I used to get pretty handsome upvotes which was obviously a major source of motivation for me. But one post not being liked by a few got me some downvotes and that took away the following that I had built in years. That was a major setback for me. It takes a long time to build a reputation here and just because 3-to 4 folks didn't like my post, it crumbled in no time. I hated it but wanted to shout out but then decided to stay calm and focused. I could not focus like I used to.
  3. Bear market, which is not a very strong reason because I am aware of the concepts behind the rewards. The lesser amount is compensated in a way with higher HP. But yes, it has been one of the contributors.
  4. Another reason, not very justified to me, is my involvement in other works and not to be missed, growing and more needy son of mine.

More important question to answer here is, is this impacting my life in any ways?

Yes, for sure. Hive engine used to be my go-to place sometime back. I enjoyed reading, writing, learning, and commenting. Now I am lazy to do all of it. I feel isolated sitting here. Even if I want to pay a lot of attention, it is difficult to bounce back because I don't have the required motivation.

I need a push, maybe in the form of some appreciation or could be in the form of some harsh words to make me realize that this is not right, I need to get back and work harder than before to reach where I was and even higher.

So ya, this is it. I am not sure who is going to appreciate or thrash me, but that's the need of the hour. If you are reading this post, please do one of the above to get me going, hahahha!!

Hello, @sugandhaseth I missed your writing(consistency) and vibe on hive ☺, because of you I'm able to write more posts per week, you may not know this but is true. I don't have much hive power to boost and motivate you but I think you need to strive harder and get your goose back, I'm pretty sure if you don't you will regret it later.

You can try and explore other new communities and meet a new set of people. I wish you all the best and may you find the motivation that you need.

I know how you felt about losing some of your followers, but don't let that limit you, just see it as part of the journey.
