My trip to from Caracas-Venezuela to Lima-Perú [ENG/ESP]
Hello friends of Hive! I hope you have a nice week, this time I want to tell you about my trip to emigrate from Venezuela to Peru.
Hola amigos de Hive! Feliz inicio de semana, en esta ocasión quiero contarles sobre mi viaje al emigrar de Venezuela a Perú.
I did this trip in 2017, it was all by road and it lasted 5 days. I left my house in Caracas on July 23 with a suitcase and a backpack with food and supplies for the trip. My first destination was to go to Valencia-Carabobo. This first journey lasted only two hours, and then being in Valencia, I said goodbye to some friends and then I had to take a bus that would take me to Táchira, which is the border state with Colombia. This second journey lasted almost a day. I arrived in Táchira on July 24 in the morning. That week it was complicated to leave the country because on July 30 there would be elections in Venezuela and the border crossing was going to be closed, so there were many people leaving the same day as me.
Este viaje lo hice en el 2017, fue todo por carretera por lo que duró 5 días. Salí un 23 de Julio de mi casa en Caracas con una maleta y una mochila con comida y provisiones para el viaje. Mi primer destino era ir a Valencia-Carabobo. Este primer trayecto duró solo dos horas, ya luego estando en Valencia, me despedí de unas amistades y luego debía tomar un autobús que me llevaría a Táchira que es el estado limítrofe con Colombia. Este segundo trayecto duró casi un día. Llegué a Táchira el 24 de Julio en la mañana. Esa semana era complicada para salir del país porque el 30 de Julio habría elecciones en Venezuela y se iba a cerrar el paso por la frontera, por lo cual había mucha gente saliendo el mismo día que yo.
Once I crossed the border and stamped my passport leaving the country, I was lucky enough to quickly get a ticket with a transport company that would take us from Cúcuta – Colombia to Rumichaca – Ecuador. The trip across Colombia lasted two days, it was quite a long but very beautiful journey, with many mountains and vegetation everywhere. Although I had food in my backpack, I took the opportunity to eat Colombian food such as the Bandeja Paisa, which is the national dish. It has rice, beans, avocado, egg and meat, and I also had a Póker beer, this Colombian beer has been produced since 1929.
Una vez cruzada la frontera y sellar mi pasaporte con la salida del país, tuve la suerte de conseguir pasaje rápidamente con una empresa de transporte que nos llevaría desde Cúcuta – Colombia hasta Rumichaca – Ecuador. El viaje cruzando Colombia duró dos días, fue un recorrido bastante largo pero muy lindo, con muchas montañas y vegetación por doquier. Aunque tenía comida en mi mochila, aproveché la oportunidad para comer comida colombiana como la Bandeja Paisa que es el plato nacional este tiene arroz, frijol, aguacate, huevo y carne y también tomar una cerveza Póker, esta cerveza colombiana se produce desde 1929.
After two days of traveling through Colombia, I arrived on July 26 at night at the border with Ecuador called Rumichaca. I waited several hours to get my passport stamped and was finally able to continue the tour in the morning. The tour of Ecuador was fast compared to Colombia. This tour lasted only one day, so on the 27th I was already in Tumbes, which is one of the border entrances with Perú.
Luego de dos días de viaje por Colombia, llegué el 26 de Julio en la noche a la frontera con Ecuador que se llama Rumichaca. Estuve varias horas esperando para poder sellar mi pasaporte y finalmente pude seguir con el recorrido en la mañana. El recorrido por ecuador fue rápido a comparación de Colombia. Este recorrido duró solo un día, por lo que el 27 ya estaba en Tumbes, que es una de las entradas fronterizas con Perú.
Once in Tumbes, located in the northwest of the country, the only thing missing was the last route, which was to Lima, the capital of Peru. For this, it was a single bus and it lasted one day. Finally on July 28 after 5 days of travel, I arrived at my destination Barranco, a tourist neighborhood in Lima located in front of the Pacific Ocean and I met my older brother.
Ya estando en Tumbes ubicado al noroeste del país, solo faltaba el último recorrido que era hasta Lima, la capital de Perú. Para esto, fue un sólo autobús y duró un día. Finalmente el 28 de Julio luego de 5 días de viaje, llegué a mi destino Barranco, un barrio turístico en Lima ubicado frente al Océano Pacífico y me reuní con mi hermano mayor.
