Hot French Fries With A Dip And Porridge Beans As Side Lunch 🍟

Hope we are enjoying wellness while thriving to achieve all we set out for this week, and also enjoying some great cuisine to keep the energy.

French fries 🍟 is one snacks meal I love to prepare for lunch from my kitchen rooster, and at least once in a week, mostly served hot, paired with some sides. It could be paired with fried egg, fried plantains or seasoned vegetable sauce. It’s always such a delightful lunch for family.

So today I made French fries 🍟 to serve for lunch, but this time I decided to serve it with a seasoned dip made from onions 🧅 and garlic 🧄 I had in the refrigerator. Then pair the hot fries with also a hot seasoned porridge beans I made as side.

Lunch meals 🥘 like this does not come to the table easily because its time consuming especially with the porridge beans being made fresh from the scratch. But it’s one meal you will love because its healthy for everyone, especially growing up children 👧 with beans as a side.

Below, I will show you step by step process how to bring this lunch to the table.

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups of brown beans
1 large sweet potatoes
1/2 packet of tomatoes paste
1/2 teaspoon of spicity seasoning
1/2 medium red onions
1 teaspoon of chili pepper 🌶
1/2 teaspoon of salt
3 fresh red hot peppers
10 ml cap of red palm oil🌴
Enough vegetable oil for fries 🍟

STEPS FOR PREPARATION:

Step 1.

First , we will cook our beans freshly. So we start by taking the beans into the pot to wash it though.

And we set it on the cooker, cover to per boil it for the first water.

Step 2.

Once the beans per boils, we sieve off the first water that contains more gas that can cause constipation

Then we add fresh water to the beans for proper cooking .

Step 3.

We wash and chop the onions and pepper readily here above

Step 4.

Peel and slice the potatoes readily for French fries , adding salt .

Step 5.

We allow the beans to cook and tender, drying

Then we add the chopped 🧅 , fresh pepper, tomatoes paste, seasoning, salt and chilies 🌶 and stir to incorporate.

Step 6.

We add the red palm oil, stir to incorporate

Allow just few more minutes to dry up and we lower heat

Step 7.

We quickly heat up our vegetable oil and fry our French fries 🍟

This lunch needs to be served immediately, as French fries are enjoyed better once they are out from the frying pan. And porridge beans also more delicious 🤤 when served hot. This is truly one lunch I don’t miss out from during the week.

I make the beans into burgers, sometimes on their own or mixed with meat, and my children don’t even realise they’re eating them.
Chips are always a welcome addition to a meal!
