Growing up among siblings whose lifestyles was a simple one I could say inspired me to adapt to living a minimalist lifestyle, although then at that young age I do not know what minimalist or minimalism entails then but I know I was loving the way I was attracted to simple things and simple living , especially wanting to dress simple . And It appears then that I was having this interest of taking things so simple, having friends who are not extravagant in nature and trying to also see life as a gift that should be appreciated everyday.

My sister will always tell me then that appreciating life every other day will make one believe in a better tomorrow, because the things we don’t have today can come to us tomorrow if we simply have the faith. So trying to worry for the things we want to have may lead us into living a fast paced lifestyle.

And all these things began to make sense to me as years passe by, , and then I was already loving how sweet living simple could be without worries of how to buy those expensive shoes 👠, clothings, bags 🛍, especially the ones that are trending that will quickly phase off while another starts to trend again.

I however with time developed the interest of buying things that are not in vogue. Things I know will not come and just be everywhere. Something that I can keep for many years and still have value because its unique among others. And I was seeing good results with time which gave me more encouragement to keep the simple lifestyle. Some of my clothings are of many years now but they just appear like I bought them yesterday. Even my daughter wear some of my shoes 👞 now, clothings and others because I was able to keep and maintain them as a minimalist which many can not keep up to.

Sometimes living simple can also be challenging especially in an environment where we see some competition among those around us, but its a thing of the heart 💜, because I believe we decide within us how to live our lifestyle without caring what others say or think 💭 hence we are satisfied and happy. Self determination and decision making is very important when choosing to live a minimalist lifestyle because things that will challenge you must surely surface, but for me living simple is a lifestyle that is worth everything since am happy 😊 and my family benefiting from all its teaching.

And it was something amazing and exciting when I found The minimalist Community months ago now after I joined Hive . And joining this community has truly opened my eyes the more on what minimalist and minimalism lifestyle are all about, the advantages, values and the need for such a beautiful 😻 lifestyle The Kiss Weekly Prompt Ideas has also impacted so much in me that I keep desiring more of this lifestyle because I keep learning from others here as a family since we are all minimalist.
