Of all things worth stealing, why would a person steal clothes?

It's crazy how one action by someone can ruin the rest of your day. As for most people, Monday is a busy day for me as we have the most lectures including a dissection session of three hours. I made the terrible mistake not washing and ironing my clothes on Sunday afternoon because I was out of school and since I came back really late, also coupled with the shortage of water supply in the school, I had no option than to wash only the clothew I would wear on Monday to the lectures. The clothes include a necktie, a long sleeve shirt and a black plain trouser. I started washing at 9:00pm but since I was washing only one sect, it took me less than an hour to finish washing. I dried the clothes on the line and went off to sleep, actually, I had used the last of my strength to wah the clothes.

Waking up in the morning, I met with my greatest shock since resumption. The clothesline on which I dried the clothes was empty except for some houseflies who were probably trying to catch some warmth. The clothes were nowhere to be found! I didn't want to think of them as stolen so I went back to the room to ask a roommate of mine who happened to wash his clothes around the same time I did, he said he removed his clothes around dawn and by that time, mine weren't completely dried so he had left them. I then asked the neighboring room members if any of them had accidentally included clothes that weren't theirs. None of them answered yes.

Well, I accepted it in the end. The clothes were gone and probably gone for good. The worst part was that I bought them about two weeks ago, equally worse was that the lectures were to begin in about 30 minutes time(I didn't wake up early to prepare adequately as I was tired the night before) and all my official clothes were dirty. I started getting a bit angry so I hurriedly went to take a bath to cool down my nerves. I had to miss an hour of the lecture to speed-wash a light robe not exactly meant for attending lectures. I washed it, blew it then ironed it while it was still wet to speedily dry it. I donned it on and off I went to the lectures, actually felt a little happier.

I find it hard to find a reason why anyone would steal clothing items. It seems really crazy to me. There are even people who go a disgusting extra length to steal underwears of clothing lines. Can you believe that? I mean a person could literally have a skin infection or transferable BO, doesn't that mean anything to them? If ever I consider talking something that isn't mine, I wouldn't stoop as low as to steal clothing items off lines.

Of all things worth stealing

Nothing worth stealing in my opinion.

You're right. It's just for the title. Nothing is really worth stealing.

Please, how do you do this?

I mean the command used to selecting a line from a post you'd like to reply to..

That sucks that someone stole your clothes! That’s insane for sure, stealing is tough but stealing clothes is one of the lowest things one can do to another person. Hopefully it was someone who needed to borrow them and was embarrassed to ask so they will show up again another day.

It sure sucks!
Well, if I turned out to be someone who borrowed it, I wouldn't want it back. He best keep it.

You are in a student area and things like this are bound to happen. Besides, I don´t leave my clothes till the next morning because to me, it´s kind of risky leaving your clothes outside unless it is during the day.
People do not have shame and they go around stealing other people´s stuff.

Sorry, it had to ruin your lecture even though you ended up with a wash and wear clothes. Lol

Yeah
I don't really leave clothes outside. I unfortunately washed the clothes late due to unforeseen circumstances so I had no other option. That incident did have negative effect on my day, but then it has already passed.

Sorry to hear about your clothes being gone or stolen. I wonder too why some people resort to such an act. Hope none of that would happen again next time.
