Coki, Una Nueva Mascota [ENG/ESP]

Today I went to visit my mother-in-law's house and noticed that there was a new member: Coki, a small and furry acure as he is called in my country.

In other countries it is known by other names such as guinea pig or curi. In general terms they are a kind of rodent.

The color of Coki is very beautiful, it has a white and brown fur. There are many that can be black, all white, brown, light brown and so there is a lot of variety.

I asked how they feed him and they told me that he eats herbs but in great quantity and that he also enjoys eating the shells of fruits, especially mango and cambur.

Coki is a male. At the moment they don't have a female because they are animals that reproduce very fast and obviously the house will be full of pure acures.

They built him a cage with a little house where he goes to rest. My little son Andres was delighted to see him and like every child wanted to hold him, but I didn't want to because I didn't know if he could bite him, since he could feel threatened if I took him out of where he seemed to be very comfortable.

It was very funny because he was running away from the phone while I was trying to take some pictures of him so I could share them here and that's why I had to take the little house and remove it to capture his cute body, because when I tried to press the camera he would run to hide.

Hola Comunidad de Mascotas

El día de hoy fui de visita a casa de mi suegra y noté que había un nuevo miembro: se trata de Coki, un pequeño y peludo acure como se le llama en mi país.

En otros países se conoce con otros nombres como conejillo de indias o curí. En términos generales son una especie de roedores.

El color de Coki es muy hermoso, tiene un pelaje blanco y color café. Existen muchos que pueden ser negros, blancos todo, marrones , marrones claro y así hay mucha variedad.

Pregunté que como lo alimentaban y me dijeron que come hierbas pero en mucha cantidad y que también disfruta comer las conchas de las frutas, sobretodo mango y cambur.

Coki es macho. En este momento no tienen la hembra porque son animales que se reproducen muy rápido y obviamente se va a llenar la casa de puros acures.

Le construyeron una jaula con una casita en donde se mete a descansar. Mi hijo pequeño Andrés estaba encantando viéndolo y como todo niño lo quería cargar, pero no quise ya que no sabía si podía morderlo, ya que podía sentirse amenazado si lo sacaba de donde parecía estar muy cómodo.

Fue muy gracioso porque le huía al teléfono mientras intentaba tomarle algunas fotos para poderlas compartir por aquí y por eso tuve que tomar la casita y retirarla para capturar su lindo cuerpo, ya que cuando intentaba presionar la cámara el corría a esconderse.
