Roberto, una Mascota Sorpresa [ENG/ESP]

Hello beautiful community of pet lovers. Today I bring you the story of Tito, a pet that my son met and that captivated him.
This weekend after enjoying my niece's wedding we went all the family including the bride and groom to a beach house. She is going on honeymoon in January, so I took the opportunity to spend a few days with her parents and siblings who came from another city.
The beach house they rented us is really beautiful, with very large gardens and very well kept, but there was something that surprised me from the beginning and that is that there were no animals or pets, but that was what I thought before I was surprised. I spent the first and second day observing everything and even though a man is taking care of the house I did not see any animals, especially to show my 2 boys who are fanatics of any animal.
On the third day my 4 year old son Andres was playing in one of the planters and wow, his big surprise was that inside it was covered by a turtle or rather a morrocoy.
My son had never seen a morrocoy, let alone a baby one, so he and all of us who were there were thrilled. We carefully took it out of the planter to observe it better.
Andres asked what his name was and no one knew, then my niece @albamarina told him to name him and Andres said "he will be called Roberto the Morrocoy" because he immediately assumed he was a male.
The boy asked what Roberto could eat and we told him usually fruits and cayenne flowers. Andres ran around the house looking for a flower and found a yellow one and showed it to the little Morrocoy to eat. At first he didn't seem to like it, but then he was delighted with the feast Andres gave him and was ready to enjoy it.
Another funny anecdote was that Andres said he was a very slow walking animal haha and we all laughed at his witticism and naivety. He spent literally the whole day taking care of his new friend and asking many questions about him, such as if he bit, if his shell was hard, if he had a wife or children, why he was alone and many things that made our afternoon.
Then the man who takes care of the beach house explained to us that the Morrocoy belonged to the owner and that she put him there because the gardens were very big and he could get lost and that he played there, ate leaves, water and fruits and to our surprise the Morrocoy was a male and although his name was Tito, for us he was Roberto the surprise Morrocoy.
I hope you liked this story and remember that after the children the most innocent and noble are the pets, that's why we must take care of them, never mistreat them and when we come across one it is not too much to give them a little love and attention.

Hola hermosa comunidad de los amantes de las mascotas. El día de hoy traigo la historia de Tito una mascota que mi hijo conoció y que lo cautivo.
Este fin de semana luego de disfrutar de la boda de mi sobrina nos fuimos toda la familia incluyendo los novios a una casa de playa. Ella se va de luna de miel en enero , así que aprovecho para pasar unos días con sus padres y hermanos que vinieron desde otra ciudad.
La casa de playa que nos alquilaron es realmente hermosa, con unos jardines muy grandes y muy bien cuidados, pero hubo algo que me sorprendió desde un principio y es que no había ningún tipo de animal o mascotas , pero eso era lo que yo pensaba antes de sorprenderme. Pasé el primer día y el segundo observando todo y a pesar que un señor cuida la casa no avistaba ningún animalito, sobretodo para enseñárselo a mis 2 hijos varones que son fanáticos de cualquier animal.
En el tercer día mi hijo de 4 años Andrés estuvo jugando por una de las jardineras y guaooo su gran sorpresa fue que dentro de ella estaba tapado por unas maticas una tortuga o mejor dicho un morrocoy.
Mi hijo nunca había visto un morrocoy y menos unos que fuera un bebé, por eso el y todos los que estábamos allí nos emocionamos. Lo sacamos con mucho cuidado de la jardinera para observarlo mejor.
Andrés pregunto cuál era su nombre y nadie sabía , entonces mi sobrina @albamarina le dijo que le colocara un nombre y Andrés dijo “ se llamará Roberto el Morrocoy” porque el inmediatamente asumió que era macho.
El niño preguntó que podía comer Roberto y le respondimos que generalmente frutas y flores de cayena. Andrés corrió por toda la casa buscando una flor y encontró una amarilla y se la mostró al pequeño morrocoy para que comiera. Al principio parecía no gustarle, pero luego estuvo encantado con el banquete que Andrés le dio y se dispuso a disfrutarlo.
Otra de las anécdotas graciosa fue que Andrés dijo que era un animal que caminaba muy lento jaja y todos nos reímos de sus ocurrencias y su ingenuidad. El pasó literalmente todo el día cuidando de su nuevo amigo y preguntando muchas cosas sobre el, cómo por ejemplo si mordía , si su caparazón era duro, si tenía esposa o hijos, el por que estaba solo y en fin muchas cosas que nos alegraron la tarde.
Luego el señor que cuida la casa de playa nos explico que el Morrocoy era de la dueña y que lo colocaba allí porque los jardines era muy grandes y se podía perder y que allí jugaba , comía hojas , le ponían agua y frutas y para nuestra sorpresa el Morrocoy si era macho y aunque se llamaba Tito ya para nosotros era Roberto el Morrocoy sorpresa.
Espero que les haya gustado esta historia y recuerden que luego de los niños lo más inocente y noble son las mascotas por eso debemos cuidarlas, nunca maltratarlas y cuando nos topemos con alguna no está demás darles un poco de cariño y atención.

Hola amiga @suglen, que bonita experiencia recibió tu niño me encanta, en la casa también tenemos 4 morrocoyas de diferentes tamaños pero pequeñas y mis hijos siempre están pendientes d darle su comida, ponerles agua y también bañarlos, ellos saben q a las morrocoyas les encanta un buen baño.
