Amazing Nature Contest: FREE TOPIC - #1/5/23

I am a participant in the competition organized by @bucipuci

The first of May is celebrated here as Labor Day. I don't work that day, and most people go to nature, make barbecue and hang out....

There are also those who just want to walk in nature and visit some places they have not seen...

My friends and I have been making arrangements for a long time to go to neighboring Romania and the canyon of the Nera river. And that part is the Beusnice National Park...

This departure was unexpected... the friend did not know how she was doing and whether her boyfriend would agree...

That was on Sunday afternoon.....in the evening we coordinated and agreed on everything....

On the first of May, we are going to visit this region, which I only knew about from a story... I didn't go online to see it, I wanted to be surprised...

When we arrived, it was half past twelve... We were met by the guards at the entrance to the park and explained where to go..... And of course they charged us a symbolic 10 lei per person.

First we started by car, but the nature was beautiful, and the road led by the river Nera... which was fast, with a lot of waterfalls...
We continued our walk...

And when we got lost, we decided to see the tunnels, as well as the canyon of the Nera river. It's at the far end of this forest..

The path was rocky and narrow, winding and went down and up.. In some places it went down to the water....

The sheltered path also alternated, with an open view that took your breath away....
I have never seen such beauty...

I was taken aback by this vast expanse that has been preserved in its wilderness..... In moments like these, I realize that I am so small, just a grain of dust on this earth of ours.

Here there are trees older than 500 years, centuries have passed, for them only a little time... For us, centuries... Little has changed here, except that signs have been placed, the road is a little more trodden.....

You can feel the magic of this region, and I managed to convey only a part to you.....
