A sunny day and I went into the garden to see what he should do.... And when I turned to the blackberries, I saw a nice hay.... And then a fig tree that hasn't fallen off all its leaves yet... and so made a nice web of shadows....

The fig leaves now looked like fingers on the wall to me...

These are all lovely garden shadow photos! I would love to have a fig tree in my garden, but they can't survive our cold winters.

The fig can withstand quite a large minus. Sometimes it freezes here too. But it starts again. You can try to protect her..

I looked it up and found this-

Most fig trees will thrive unprotected in USDA Hardiness Zones 8-10. The cold-hardy varieties can withstand winters in Zones 6 and 7, but they will require some protection

I am in Zone 5
