[ESP-ENG] Retomando las clases, probando cosas nuevas | Going back to school, trying new things

Hola hivers!! Espero que todos se encuentren muy bien, les cuento que esta semana comencé a ver clases al 100% y he estado ocupadita ya que el horario de ahora es hasta las 3:45 p.m., por suerte la próxima semana le bajarán una hora más.

Hello hivers!!! I hope everyone is doing well, I'm glad to tell you that this week I started to see classes at 100% and I've been busy since the schedule is now until 3:45 p.m., luckily next week they will drop an hour more.

Debido a que el año escolar anterior la matricula estuvo dividida en grupos (A y B) ahora que todos los estudiantes estamos juntos en la institución, empezamos a conocer a nuestros compañeros del otro grupo, yo la verdad no soy alguien muy sociable pero he tratado de hablar un poco con mis nuevos compañeros para conocernos y estar en un ambiente cómodo.

Because the previous school year the enrollment was divided into groups (A and B) now that all students are together in the institution, we began to know our classmates from the other group, I am not really someone very sociable but I have tried to talk a little with my new classmates to get to know each other and be in a comfortable environment.

La mayoría de los profesores que veré este año no los conozco, pero espero que puedan explicarnos bien el contenido. Este nuevo año escolar comenzó con limitaciones en la parte de los pupitres, ya que lastimosamente semanas atrás malas personas se metieron a robar varias cosas en la institución, sin embargo los estudiantes encontramos la manera de sentarnos en alguna silla de la biblioteca para poder ver nuestras clases.

Most of the teachers I will see this year I don't know, but I hope they can explain the content well. This new school year began with limitations in the part of the desks, since unfortunately weeks ago bad people broke in to steal several things in the institution, however the students found a way to sit in a chair in the library to watch our classes.

Mis padres buscaron pupitres en mal estado para arreglarlos y así mi hermano y yo tuviéramos un lugar cómodo en donde sentarnos, el mío ya está terminado pero debido a que todavía no hay un candado para la puerta de mi salón, por precaución mis padres decidieron no llevarlo.

My parents looked for desks in bad condition to fix them so that my brother and I would have a comfortable place to sit, mine is already finished but because there is still no lock for the door of my classroom, as a precaution my parents decided not to take it.

Ahora hay más reglas en el liceo, una de ellas es el uso prohibido del celular en horario de clases, ya que hay muchos estudiantes que se distraen y no prestan atención, o copian toda la información de internet, tampoco se pueden llevar prendas que no pertenezcan al uniforme del colegio, como por ejemplo suéteres, gorras, etc; la verdad me molestó un poco esta nueva regla ya que a veces me gusta llevar uno de mis suéteres -<-, pero reglas son reglas, hay que cumplirlas, no me gustaría perder un punto por rasgos personales.

Now there are more rules in the school, one of them is the prohibited use of cell phones during class time, since there are many students who are distracted and do not pay attention, or copy all the information from the internet, you can not wear clothes that do not belong to the school uniform, such as sweaters, caps, etc; the truth bothered me a little this new rule because sometimes I like to wear one of my sweaters, but rules are rules, you have to follow them, I would not like to lose a point for personal traits.

Hay algo que me emociona mucho y es que me he unido a un grupo de Periodismo Digital, soy parte del equipo encargado de la redacción y diseño del periódico escolar. Nunca había hecho esto, así que es algo nuevo para mi, sin embargo planeo desempeñarme lo mejor que pueda para que nuestro periódico quede en un buen lugar ya que estaremos compitiendo con los de otras escuelas. La primera edición del periódico saldrá a finales del mes y estaremos promocionando por instagram, tal vez comparta con ustedes el resultado final.

There is something I am very excited about and that is that I have joined a Digital Journalism group, I am part of the team in charge of writing and designing the school newspaper. I've never done this before, so it's something new for me, but I plan to do my best to make sure our newspaper is in a good place since we will be competing with those of other schools. The first edition of the newspaper will be out at the end of the month and we will be promoting it on instagram, maybe I will share with you the final result.

Un día antes de reunirme con mis compañeros realicé un dibujo que me encargó mi profesora, como el periódico se llama "Brisa del Guayamurí" (Para quienes no sepan, "Guayamurí" es el nombre de un famoso cerro de la isla de Margarita que puede apreciarse desde múltiples lugares de la isla) debía hacer un dibujo del cerro para que fuese el logo del periódico. A la profesora le gustó el dibujo pero debo hacer otro con más detalles para que se vea más bonito nuestro logo.

One day before meeting with my classmates I made a drawing that my teacher asked me to do, as the newspaper is called "Brisa del Guayamurí" (For those who do not know, "Guayamurí" is the name of a famous hill on the island of Margarita that can be seen from many places on the island) I had to make a drawing of the hill to be the logo of the newspaper. The teacher liked the drawing but I have to make another one with more details to make our logo look nicer.

Ahorita planeo echarle bastante ganas a mis estudios para obtener un promedio igual o mejor que el anterior (19) y espero poder socializar un poco más ya que pronto mi mejor amiga se mudará y no quiero estar tan sola cuando se vaya.

Si hay algún otro hiver que empieza con el ciclo de clases le deseo mucha suerte. Sin nada más que decir me despido, see u later guys<3.

I now plan to put a lot of effort into my studies to get a grade equal to or better than my last one (19) and I hope to socialize a bit more as soon my best friend will be moving out and I don't want to be alone when she leaves.
