Black Forest

Hello guys....

Yesterday someone posted a photo of a very beautiful forest, in the photo there are only black, gray and white colors. That's why I really want to make it into a painting, yes even though my painting is not as good as the original photo but I will try it.

This time I will draw on my watercolor sketchbook which is A5 size, with a paper thickness of 230 gsm. And I'm going to use watercolors, as well as 3 different brush sizes and washi tape.

As usual, before I start painting, I will frame the left and right top and bottom sections of the paper using washi tape, this works for a neater painting result and makes it easier for me to paint.

Then I'll spray some water on my watercolor and on the watercolor paper I'm going to use.

Then it's time to start painting, first I'm going to use black as the background, but I'm just going to use a little bit of black and mix it with water, so the color that will appear is a gray color. Apply a brush to the entire surface of the paper, but make gradations so that the top and bottom have a darker color while in the middle apply a little color.

Then create some trees with different colors, black, dark gray, light gray and even lighter gray. Just make a thick line extending from the bottom of the paper to the top.

And finally create the leaves, I will make the leaves using a fan brush, this will make it easier to make the leaves.

Finally my forest painting is finished, the result is quite good and I am very satisfied with the result. Don't forget to remove the washi tape when you're done painting.
