Delicious And Cheap Simple Lunch

In the afternoon a few days ago I and my family had lunch at a simple restaurant located on the side of the road in Sunggal District, Medan, Indonesia. I'm not sure if this can be called a restaurant or not, because it's just located on a vacant lot with a few trees around.

Even so this place is very comfortable, the air is cool and quite clean. Especially if you bring a small child here, they will definitely be happy because here are some games that children can play.

Here there is not only one seller, but there are several sellers, each of which sells a different menu, such as satay, coconut ice, and heavy food menus such as noodle soup, rice, chicken, and others, some also sell other drinks. such as tea, coffee, juice and milkshakes. Even though we have different sellers, we can order it at one server only, later they will convey it to each seller.

And for lunch this time I ordered two main meals, a drink and an appetizer. Actually this is enough for my lunch, but because the food here looks delicious so I ordered quite a lot of food.

First, let's talk about the appetizers, the appetizer I ordered was Rujak. Rujak is a typical Indonesian food, where the fruit is cut into pieces and then drenched in a sauce made of brown sugar, chili and peanuts. The taste of the salad here is very good, the sauce is spicy and the fruits are still fresh and sweet. The portion given is also quite a lot, with several fruits such as watermelon, pineapple, cucumber, kedondong and others.

For the main meal I ordered two menus, the first was rice with chicken penyet. Ayam Penyet is also one of the typical Indonesian foods, this is chicken that has been seasoned and then fried, and what is unique about Ayam Penyet is the sauce provided, there are three choices of sauces that are usually available, namely green chili, soy sauce and belacan. And what is provided here is soy sauce, and there are also some vegetables in this menu.

The taste of the chicken penyet is also very good, the sauce is spicy with a sweet taste, the chicken is also soft, the vegetables provided are also delicious. This is really delicious and definitely filling.

The second main menu I ordered was fried kwetiau noodles, and this menu is equally delicious. The kwetiau is cooked well with the addition of chili which is spicy and delicious, especially if you eat it while it is still warm, it will be even more delicious.

And the last one is the drink, the drink I ordered was young coconut ice with brown sugar. This drink is very refreshing, especially with the addition of ice, brown sugar adds to the sweetness of this drink, this is perfect for drinking on a hot day.

This is my simple but delicious lunch menu, honestly i don't know what the name of this restaurant is, but the important thing is this is a good restaurant, with delicious taste and low price.
