Empiezo mi publicación con la palabra suerte, porque mi día estuvo lleno de acontecimientos que me hicieron sentir afortunada.
Mi primera tarea de hoy, era llevar unas facturas médicas al departamento que se encarga de procesarlas para reembolsarnos el dinero gastado.
Estuve allí desde las 7 A.M. hasta las 10:40 A.M., pero al menos la analista ingresó en el sistema todas las facturas que llevé.
Para ese trámite debemos ser muy organizados y entregar todos los recaudos necesarios para que los analistas no nos devuelvan nada.
I start my post with the word lucky, because my day was full of events that made me feel lucky.
My first task today, was to take some medical bills to the department that is in charge of processing them to reimburse us for the money spent.
I was there from 7 A.M. until 10:40 A.M., but at least the analyst entered all the bills I brought into the system.
For this process we must be very organized and submit all the necessary documents so that the analysts do not return anything to us.
Al salir de allí, me fui directo a RRHH, donde tenía que entregar las facturas del colegio de mis hijos, que también nos son reembolsadas.
Cuando llegué a RRHH, vi que habían como 10 personas esperando ser atendidas, eran pocas, en comparación con otros días, y más considerando que hoy cerraban nómina, lo que quiere decir, que quienes no entreguen las facturas hoy, ya no se las procesan hasta diciembre. Me senté a esperar mi turno.
Al poco tiempo llega otra trabajadora de la empresa y me cuenta que ella estuvo desde bien temprano haciendo una cola inmensa, que salía hasta la calle y que luego le dijeron que ya habían cerrado el sistema, por lo que a nadie le cargarían facturas y todos se fueron decepcionados.
Resulta que después, abrieron el sistema nuevamente por poco tiempo y fue justo cuando yo llegué a RRHH. No podía creer la fortuna que yo había tenido.
En poco tiempo me atendieron y pude hacer ese trámite con éxito, gracias a Dios.
When I left there, I went straight to HR, where I had to deliver my children's school bills, which are also reimbursed to us.
When I got to HR, I saw that there were about 10 people waiting to be served, which were few, compared to other days, and even more so considering that today they were closing payroll, which means that those who do not turn in their invoices today will not be processed until December. I sat down to wait my turn.
Soon after, another worker from the company arrived and told me that she had been waiting in a huge line from very early in the morning, which stretched all the way to the street, and then she was told that the system had already been closed, so no one would be charged invoices and everyone was disappointed.
It turns out that later, they opened the system again for a short time and that was just when I got to HR. I couldn't believe my luck.
In a short time I was taken care of and was able to do that procedure successfully, thank God.
Cuando salí de allí me sentí una triunfadora, hasta caminaba con la frente el alto y con mi pecho como paloma, hasta me acordé de las películas donde la protagonista camina toda sonriente y altiva y se cae... me reí sola.
Cuando me dirigía a mi auto, todo estaba mojado, había llovido mientras estuve en RRHH, pensé en la suerte que tuve de que no lloviera antes, ni después. Seguí sonriendo.
La verdad es que ya había pasado la mañana y era hora de que buscara a mi hijo, que estaba en clases. Fui por él y me contó que había sacado 20 en un examen de matemáticas y que esa era una materia que le emocionaba tanto como pensar en comprar un videojuego.
Le dije a él que era uno de los pocos que ama las matemáticas y que yo era muy afortunada de tenerlo como hijo.
When I got out of there I felt like a winner, I even walked with my forehead high and my chest like a dove, I even remembered the movies where the protagonist walks all smiling and haughty and falls down? I laughed to myself.
As I walked to my car, everything was wet, it had rained while I was in HR, I thought about how lucky I was that it didn't rain before, or after. I kept smiling.
The truth is that the morning had already passed and it was time for me to look for my son, who was in class. I went to get him and he told me that he had gotten a 20 on a math test and that it was a subject that excited him as much as the thought of buying a video game.
I told him that he was one of the few who loves math and that I was very lucky to have him as a son.
Al llegar a casa, me senté en la PC para terminar un proceso de compra online, me hacía falta adquirir unos dólares en el banco, pero ayer lo intenté y la página del banco emitía un mensaje que decía, que no había disponibilidad dólares en ese momento. Ayer en todo el día no tuve éxito en esa tarea.
Pero hoy, con mi super suerte, lo intenté y sí los conseguí, así que seguí colocando cosas en mi carrito de compras, lo que me llevó casi todo el resto del el día, porque había mucho para ver y yo no elegía rápido.
He asked me to buy something for a snack and I had no reason to refuse, I was so happy for so many blessings, that I immediately told him: Let's go get that snack!
When I got home, I sat down at the PC to finish an online purchase process, I needed to buy some dollars at the bank, but yesterday I tried and the bank's website issued a message saying that there were no dollars available at that moment. All day yesterday I was unsuccessful in that task.
But today, with my super luck, I tried and I did get them, so I kept putting things in my shopping cart, which took me most of the rest of the day, because there was so much to see and I didn't choose fast.
Se me hizo tarde para escribir en mi blog y mi hija me insistió para que fuera a la cama, pero le dije que yo debía hacerlo, porque es algo que me propuse y debo cumplirlo.
Aunque parezca tonto, si yo digo que escribiré todos los días y no lo hago, no estoy siendo fiel a mi palabra. Desde que me lo propuse, las pocas veces que no lo he hecho, es porque no ha habido electricidad en mi casa.
Además, hoy quería compartir lo bien que había estado mi jornada. Y sé que se me olvidan detalles, es el riesgo de querer recordar todo al final del día.
Las fotografías que comparto, son de un grato momento que pasé con mi hijo jugando a la pelota. Su sonrisa, es mi dicha.
It got late for me to write on my blog and my daughter insisted me to go to bed, but I told her that I must do it, because it is something I set out to do and I must keep it.
As silly as it sounds, if I say I will write every day and I don't, I am not being true to my word. Since I set out to do it, the few times I haven't done it, it's because there hasn't been electricity in my house.
Besides, today I wanted to share how good my day had been. And I know I forget details, it's the risk of wanting to remember everything at the end of the day.
The pictures I am sharing are of a pleasant moment I spent with my son playing ball. His smile, is my joy.
