Cross Canada Trekking - Part 3 [Saskachewy 😻 Skies Oh My]

We didn't stay in Manitoba for very long. I think we stopped briefly to get some coffee and food in Winnipeg. I got some book at a coffee shop, there was a box of books and I asked what the deal was with the deal with them was. The barista shrugged and said I could have them. I only wanted the one on Scientology, which I read throughout the drive. It was quite eye-opening, the exposé by David Miscavige's neice, Jenna Miscavige Hill. Regardless, Manitoba is a farily short part of the trip, if you are doing it the Trans Canada route. Along the highway, we kept finding the similar 'Freedom Isn't Free' slogans that somebody had graffitied along the path.

Saskatchewan, the 'land of the living skies' has always fascinated me, ever since I spent a few months there in 2007 Treeplanting and doing some other various jobs afterwards. It certainly lives up to it's motto, my dad said it was because of the Prairies, the flat land where you can see for miles and miles from horizon to horizon. Canada's breadbasket, where most of the wheat and many other crops are grown. We didn't spend that long in Saskatchewan for very long, either... Just Passing Through.

Our stop for the night was something akin to a truck stop, on the outskirts of Moose Jaw, yes it's a strange name and even appears in Roger Waters song Home from the momentous album RADIO K.A.O.S.

I tried to get my mom to go for a two minute walk but she was in a bit of a bad mood and didn't want to leave. Alas, I guess those Saskatchewan Sunsets aren't for everyone.
