World's 6th Largest Masjid| Faisal Masjid

Hello & Happy Ramadan Kareem

It was 3rd March 2024 when my plan was to visit "Faisal Masjid Islamabad". It's famous Masjid in Pakistan. People from all over the country come to visit this beautiful masterpiece of architecture.

I was eagerly traveling towards Faisal Masijd. My mind and heart was curious to see high, white and beautiful Minarets of Masjid.

Outside the Masjid, there were many mini stalls. Street vendors were selling different items. Pink cotton candies were center of attention.

It was impressive way of selling items. When items look attractive and getting attention then they get customers too.

You can buy roses from here and gift to anyone who you like! There was a woman who was selling these flowers.

These are stamps or you can say them tattoo but originally it's not tattoo and are removable. It's interesting, isn't it?

I was standing in the Masjid(Mosque). It was a beautiful feeling that i was exploring the National Mosque of Pakistan which is also 6th Largest Mosque in the World.

Sun was shining right at the back of Mosque. It was spreading it's long wavelengths all over the Mosque. I was standing still and seeing the beauty in still manner.

I found a coin in my pocket. It's coin of ten ruppee. On the back side of the coin Faisal Mosque is presented.

On entrance,my eyes fell on white color foundation's stone on which information about Faisal Mosque was written in three different languages. These three languages were Urdu, Arabic and English.

When i stepped forward then i saw a large fountain but unfortunately that fountain was not working. The most fascinating thing was white and blue color of Mosque which was matching perfectly with the blue sky and white clouds.

Around this blue fountain, there were four white stairs which will lead you to the upper floor from where you can see the aerial view of fountain and see the beautiful Margalla Hills.

Mosque with white Marble's beauty is beautifully nestled in between Margalla hills. It is one of the top tourist place in Pakistan.

Architecture of Mosque is unusual then other Traditional Mosque and that's the most unique thing of this Masjid. The usual thing in the architecture of Masjid is Dome like structure but Faisal Masjid is unique in this way that it doesn't has dome in it's design. Yet, it has pyramid design.

On right side, there is another open water fountain which was also not functioning but people were talking and walking in it.

Along with fountain's area there was a park in which children were playing, adults were busy in conversation and in mobiles and old were sitting. Well, above all the beauty of sky and clouds was giving relief to eyes.

Foyer was spacious and sequence. It's sequenced pattern was also proof of architectural mastery.

Interior of Masjid was beautifully embellished with white marble and golden chandelier. Calligraphy and other forms of arts were presented beautifully on the long and high walls of interior.

Golden color Chandelier of Turkish style was hanging in the middle of roof. It was of cubic style. Everything that was in the Masjid was unique and attractive.

Intricate and simple designs were carved on the walls. Vistors were capturing photos of each little fine detail.

I was standing on the reflective white marble to get a photo. It will always be a reminder to myself that i went to visit this historical masterpiece of architecture.

Kids were playing in the foyer. The child like curiousity in me was seeing them.

White stairs were loaded with people. Many were walking and some people were sitting. Some were going upstairs and some were coming downstairs but on the other hand i was staring.

I took a sun-kissed selfie in which my eyes became small. It's all due to sun. I am waiting for you day when i can take selfie without disturbance of sun(oh, it's hyperbole,XD).

Trees are the most common thing which are successful in getting my deep attention. Everywhere i go i want to see trees and just trees. May be because of their green, yellow, rough and brown beauty.

Parking side was adorned with pine trees. Pine trees are identification card for Islamabad city because there are so many trees in this Capital Territory.

From a little distance..... through the branches, Faisal Masjid was looking more beautiful with natural touch of tree. By the way, You know that Faisal Masjid was named after Shah Faisal of Saudi Arabia and it is gift of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan.

We were walking away ...... Away and away from the Masjid. Still, it was shining in my eyes.

It was time to say "good bye" and to sail back.......
By holding all the memories in my mind i was traveling back to home. Hope so, i will go there again but at night time Because i have never seen the beauty of Masjid at night time. I am sure it looks more beautiful than day with night lights.

Happy Ramadan Kareem 💝💐

Taha is it you capturing those stunning shots very adorable.
I love those cheap removable tattoo stamps when I was a child a friend of mine's arm got burnt because of the harsh chemicals in that stamp. Probably she wanted to have a permanent tattoo but instead she got burnt stains.

I see you got passion for enjoying places... nature enthusiast too...

I can see this is a unique masjid too and a tourist attraction, I thought those taatoos with chocolates.
It was interesting to see the Pakistan currency, the unconventional design of the masjid environment.
That blue water fountain area, were people walking on water?

The view of the hills, woow!!! Up those stairs… very lovely!!

Looks like these tourist spots don’t have monkeys around, they are very common in Indian tourist spots.
It’s lovely there’s some nice stuff to eat, although there was just that muri snack?
Well… nice how ever bad the economy, political environment is, people have things to enjoy!! Positive vibes… there is good stuff in the world…anyway…
