I found Bonnet Mushroom | Fungi Friday

The night before last, I couldn't sleep at all; for some reason, that i couldn't figure out. I started reading Frankenstein and got so engrossed in it that even after reading three or four chapters and lying down, I still couldn't sleep. I just kept tossing and turning. I listened to the sound of the rain falling outside while I lay indoors; it rained all night long. When I woke up in the morning, even though I hadn't slept enough, I was excited to go check if the mushrooms had sprouted. I went out and saw that the mushrooms had indeed grown and were spread out everywhere.

I’ve actually figured out the knack for finding mushrooms; I scan the ground very closely, especially areas with scattered debris or decaying matter, since they often grow on decomposing ground. I went over to my haveli side where the workers were busy; they even asked me what I was looking for and what I was taking pictures of.
Before me was this beautiful bonnet mushroom, and I was delighted to see it; its appearance alone suggested a gentle, delicate nature. After doing a little search on google, I discovered that these are ephemeral mushrooms, meaning they are very short-lived, often lasting only a day or two.

Look at these mushrooms they appear to be in a sorry state; their stems can no longer support the weight of their caps, causing them to collapse, and their bases are also giving way.

Amidst the herbs, there were these common types of mushrooms that I usually come across in this area; however, to find the others, one often has to scan the surroundings for a long time and look very closely.

I really liked the stem of this mushroom because it was quite transparent; it just goes to show what wonderful things you discover when you observe nature, though perhaps people have stopped observing it.

Upon seeing these mushrooms, I thought about turning back because, for some reason, my camera lens wasn't working properly; the humidity was extremely high, repeatedly causing issues with the camera and making it lose focus.
