Work From Home

The definition of office work is completely changed. It's the technology that has shifted the work dynamics. With each coming update in the technological industry, the office life is constantly changing, and workers are sort of objectified under the technological advancemts.

The types of works that were relavant in last previous two decades are fading away and losing grounds. Automation is swiftly changing the mechanics of working in the office. Where, this technology has automated has many jobs and replaced them, it also has provided a lot of new jobs in the market.

We, humans, one thing has in our hands and that is to be adaptable and to be creative in any situations. We all have to be evolutionary along with the technological advancement. It is the responsibility of humans to conquer the technology and not to be fall pray to these tools.

It was during the COVID-19 period when offices and schools shut down and online classes became the new norm that most of us became aware to working from home. We gained experience of platforms like Zoom and it's virtual meetings( I remember, at first it was totally strange. It felt like we are not learning ir having any meeting but sort of a whatsapp call with our relatives. Perrsonally, I even found content writing during this time. I was previously unaware of such digital skills. So, the COVID era proved to be a "blessing in disguise" for us.I would say it polished our digital skills and revealed the hidden digital potential of the digital world that needed to be explored. Still the digital world is evolving and we have to evolve along with it.

However, it is not the case that the importance of office work has diminished.In fact, it is still significant. There is a lot of work that requires in-person presence and people actively trying their luck to have such government jobs. I have personally taken numerous exams for these government jobs where i could train myself with the office work ethics too.

Well, this topic often confuses me. I had a teacher job. I just taught for two months and it totally drained me with a very low salary. It was as much as i could made from writing blogs on any platform for a month. I don't know why i still trying to be in any office job. Actually, the primary reason is that the online platforms of earnings are very fluctuating and uncertain. For instance, Hive- backed blogging depends on highly fluctuating hive cryptocurrency and it's uncertainty drives me to have a real job in the market. So, i am sort of in a dilemma. Moreover, I simply cannot convince my parents that the coming era belongs to digital platforms and that acquiring digital skills is crucial. They grew up in a time when office work required physical presence, and while much has changed since then, there are still many office jobs that cannot be done from home. There are roles that strictly require you to go to the office and work on-site.
