Freedom-(Original Poem)

Freedom

I want to break free,
yearning to get lost amid the flock of white clouds.
I want to break free,
forgetting my way amidst the crowd,
yearning to get lost
in the tenderness of love.

I want to break free.
Over my desperate shadows, looming with sadness.
I want to break free.
Where can I get a glance of the white clouds?
Hidden in resilience, among the mountains, bare they lay covering each other, some say.
They are sleeping silently,
Amid the morning rays.

I may sneak my way
and lay hidden among them, asleep.
My dreams may wake me up
to a living twilight at dusk,
chasing each other with ease,
I want to break free.

I want to break free.
Please, set me free.
Cause, I want to break free.

The End!

I think freedom is definitely one of the themes of the last two years! I can sense the yearning in this poem.

thank you. Freedom is something we are still struggling for and I don't know when will it all end.

Wow! Really amazing ☺️ freedom is all that matters, a free heart is a heart of gold and a kind heart. The way I see freedom is in the aspects that, freedom is everything we ever want in life🤸

I don't know if that's all we want, but it is true that none of us want to be neglected by our own ppl. We don't want to suffocate either.

I really liked the imagery that I visualized as I was reading, and it was almost like I could see someone’s shadow in the middle of the rays of light between the mountains. If those are the places where you feel free, then go for it, be safe but always run to your happy place, those ones that always make us feel full. Regards!

hm, the irony lies here, that what will you do if you realize that the place which makes you feel safe is not hindered and you don't know anymore where to run to?

Freedom as a desire. Fredom as hope. Fredom as a desperate screaming. We all want to brake free.

Getting lost, loosing yourself is sometimes necessary. Your “freedom” speaks volumes about the chains of society. Nicely done.

My dreams may wake me up
to a living twilight at dusk,
chasing each other with ease,
I want to break free.

don't know how much it relates to society but what I can relate is that, yes, losing oneself is sometimes truly necessary.

Beautiful poem, this part caught my attention:

I want to break free,
forgetting my way amidst the crowd,
yearning to get lost
in the tenderness of love.

We all need that freedom to be able to move forward in life, a hug and happy 2022.
