Weekend Journal- "Mom, let me do it!"

Weekend Journal is dedicated especially in respect to the importance of weekends, something I, myself tend to forget as responsibility and financial turmoil takes over. By keeping this journal I will be able to keep my commitments straight and also, will be much focused on enjoying it rather than just sharing about it monotonously. I hope through my share, you are about to have some loads of fun too.

So, my first Weekend Journal comprises the concept of helping, helping our mothers. I am no more a teenager nor do I have much time to enjoy the weekend even for spending time with family and friends. Being surrounded by loads of works, we tend to forget and mistakenly ignore what is most important to us. Yes, helping our family members, especially our parents, is our foremost duty. Keeping this in mind, here I start.

Self-Serving

Unclean and untidy
In my household, my mother is the one who takes control of all the chores. Let it be orienting the furniture or cleaning the house, let it be directing the house cleaner or taking care of cooking, let it be any and everything, mothers are the direct instructor at what happens in a household. It is very important to know that their struggles are incomparable.

Clean and tidy
I took the opportunity of the weekend to clean my room; a part of the whole house. It was quite some hard work too as I had to clean the furniture, the walls, the bedsheet, etc. I also had to shift a few of the furniture to adjust how it looks as mother was pissed at how untidy it looked. There is more to the chores I completed on that day. Trust me, it was a total nightmare. My room was pilled up with dust even though it is cleaned every day.

Quick and easy to make

"Brinjal mutton curry", with no mutton

I am a good cook, not boasting. Mother compliments that I am but I often didn't use to cook. Now I do. Practice makes perfect after all. This in front of you lies, Brinjal mutton curry, no, it is not mutton that you see before your eyes. These are brinjals; eggplants cut in a manner that resembles mutton. Hopefully, one day I will share the recipe. I am not quite the sour type but this is quite a good one, I must say. It is a little spicy, a little sour. The texture is soft and mixes too well with rice. I have also made smashed potato with egg, it was a supplement.

Yes, I had to decorate before taking a capture. This was quite my first attempt to make Brinjal mutton curry. I am now quite well with smashed potato and egg. We tend to have quite spicy food and interestingly it was worth it. Mom had a day off and I could contribute to her daily chores. I directed the lady who cleans the house, and I took care of all the necessary items which mom keeps in the record.

Hunt for beauty

Baby Papaya

Yes, I messed up one thing and that was watering the plants. Mom did that part, although I did volunteer. I took the opportunity to take some clips of these beautiful little ones.

Rainforest Cactus

This beauty has grown quite big. It is in our family for more than 4 years now. My mother is fond of gardening and I am fond of capturing them with my brushes. It is very important to plant in our houses or free spaces near our house. The climate is drastically shifting and we are all very well aware of it. While there is time if we do not take any action, after the scope is all gone, it is not going to be possible.

Mothers inspire us in whatever decision we make in our life. We need to give them time and get inspired and inspire them back to live this life with happiness. Happiness doesn't come from one side, both parties have a role to play. With this, I end my first Weekend Journal. Thank you all for keeping up with my pace. I hope you enjoy your weekends too.
