Mushrooms finally popping up ~ FungiFriday
Mushrooms have been shy this year. By this time, it's usually full of them everywhere. Last week, I was for a walk in a forest, and there was not a single mushroom. Something is missing. 😕
In the park, I managed to find several buddies, though.
The first coral mushroom (Yellow Stagshorn) of the year:
And a younger coral:
Coral mushroom, or Calocera viscosa, likes conifer wood. I find the name funny. It belongs to "jelly fungi". I have touched it and it feels... well, somewhat rubbery and flexible, not as fragile as you would expect. Of course, I'm always careful with mushrooms. I never deliberately damage them, kick them or pull them from the ground.
More information in the links at the end of the post.
I also found a cute bunch of mushrooms just coming out of the ground.
And the last one for today is slightly bigger than the previous ones. A fly had claimed ownership of it.
This is my contribution to FungiFriday by @ewkaw.

The first mushroom you share is very cute, the background color and texture for me is very good
Thank you for the kind feedback!
I have never seen a mushroom that looks like coral and is yellow in color, it is a very beautiful mushroom.
Yes, it's very pretty, and easy to spot. However, it quickly goes old. Its scientific name seems to be Calocera viscosa. According to Wikipedia, it likes conifer wood. I updated my post to include that info.

the first one is very beautiful, the yellow among the green grass, it's so amazing..
It is as pretty in real life, too 🍄
The fact that we have fungi on land that resembles coral from the ocean is fascinating. The bright orange has me in awe. 🍄
There are multiple coral mushroom species. There’s even a rare lavender one in my country but I’ve never seen one.
That sounds so magical 😱. Oo I hope you get to see one oneday!
Thank you 😊!LUV
