Bad energy in control - Illustration process

Contenta de estar de vuelta después de varios días de ocupaciones. Quería contarles que el aprendizaje sobre ilustración digital que he absorbido durante los últimos meses me ha abierto las puertas a un mundo completamente nuevo. Ahora puedo expresar mejor las ideas para mis ilustraciones e incluso me ha sido de muchísima ayuda en mi trabajo cotidiano de diseño gráfico. Crear mis propios vectores, iconos, y más, me facilita en gran medida el avance de mis proyectos. ¡Así que aprender a ilustrar no es una perdida de tiempo! A quien le guste, anímense a aprender.

Glad to be back after several days of occupations. I wanted to tell you that the learning about digital illustration that I have absorbed during the last months has opened the doors to a whole new world for me. Now I can better express the ideas for my illustrations and it has even helped me a lot in my daily graphic design work. Creating my own vectors, icons, and more makes it so much easier for me to move forward with my projects.

No sabía cómo llamar la ilustración de hoy, "Convivir con nuestros temores internos" se le acerca bastante. Todos tenemos que hacer las paces con nuestros temores y con nosotros mismos para poder vivir con menos peso sobre los hombros. Algo como eso es lo que pensé cuando realicé el boceto para esta ilustración.
I didn't know what to call today's illustration, "Living With Our Inner Fears" comes pretty close. We all need to make peace with our fears and with ourselves in order to live with less weight on our shoulders. Something like that is what I thought when I made the sketch for this illustration.
Lo primero que hago después del boceto es el color base. Cuando estoy conforme con ello ya puedo pasar a agregar sombras y detalles.
The first thing I do after the sketch is the base color. When I am satisfied with it, I can move on to adding shadows and details.
Esta es la parte de la ilustración que puede tomar tiempo, decidir qué y dónde sombrear e iluminar. Con la práctica se vuelve más fácil identificar los lugares correctos para hacerlo sin que se vuelva un desastre oscuro y sin sentido.
This is the part of the illustration that can take time, deciding what and where to shade and light. With practice it becomes easier to identify the right places to do it without it becoming a dark and meaningless mess.
Los detalles, por supuesto, son mejor parte. El dibujo cobra vida y puedes decir que no fue una pérdida de tiempo cuando lo tienes todo bajo control. Funciona, realmente funciona, piensas en este punto.

The details, of course, are the best part. The drawing comes to life and you can tell it wasn't a waste of time when you have everything under control. It works, it really works, you think at this point.

Estoy segura de que habría terminado en menor tiempo si no hubiera luchado tanto para encontrar un buen color de cabello. ¡AH! ¡Cabello!
De los cuatro pinceles que usé, sólo el rotulador de alcohol es predeterminado de la app, los tres primeros los puedes encontrar fácilmente en internet.
I'm sure I would have finished in less time if I hadn't struggled so hard to find a good hair color. OH! Hair!
Of the four brushes I used, only the alcohol marker is the app's default, the first three can be easily found on the internet.

Hola. Para lienzos cuadrados por lo general uso 2500 x 2500px. Debe ser un tamaño mayor al 1080x1080 establecido para redes sociales, así no se me pixelan las ilustraciones. Para lienzos rectangulares voy variando, puede ser 2700x2500px y así. El problema es que a veces en ibis paint si el lienzo es muy grande, cuando ya llevas muchas capas empieza a pegarse y es un problema. Sin embargo funciona. Espero haberme explicado jejej.

Que dibujo tan lindo, me gusta mucho que haya usado un pincel de textura, además de los detalles, siento que la textura aporta personalidad a un dibujo.
