Feliz fin de semana. Volví esta semana con una nueva ilustración. Siempre había escuchado hablar de la historia de El Principito pero honestamente nunca había leído el libro o visto sus animaciones. Hace dias por fin pude ver la película animada y es realmente extraordinaria y motivadora. Por eso decidí hacer este fan art de una de las tomas que más me gustó de la película. Si todavía no la han visto, se las recomiendo.

Happy weekend. I'm back this week with a new illustration. I had always heard about the story of The Little Prince but honestly I had never read the book or seen its animations. A few days ago I was finally able to see the animated film and it is really extraordinary and motivating. That's why I decided to make this fan art of one of the shots that I liked the most from the movie. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it.

A few days ago I was finally able to see the animated film and it is really extraordinary and motivating. That's why I decided to make this fan art of one of the shots that I liked the most from the movie. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it.
Let's talk step by step.
➊ Boceto:
Hice este boceto bastante rápido. No es una representación exacta de lo que sucedió, pero si la esencia de ello. Pude plasmar lo que tenía en mente para el boceto y eso siempre es una buena sensación.

➊ Sketch:
I made this sketch pretty quickly. It is not an exact representation of what happened, but it is the essence of it. I was able to capture what I had in mind for the sketch and that's always a good feeling.

➋ Color Base:
Me tardé en este paso. Quería probar otros pinceles pero al final ninguno me convenció y terminé utilizando el mismo grafito de siempre. Sin embargo, cambié el modo de uso y no lo utilicé con un trazo tan ancho sino uno más pequeño, dando pinceladas hasta rellenar por completo las formas. Obtuve una textura bastante buena.

Sin embargo, cambié el modo de uso y no lo utilicé con un trazo tan ancho sino uno más pequeño, dando pinceladas hasta rellenar por completo las formas. Obtuve una textura bastante buena.

I delayed on this step. I wanted to try other brushes but in the end none convinced me and I ended up using the same graphite as always. However, I changed the mode of use and I did not use it with such a wide stroke but a smaller one, giving brush strokes until the shapes were completely filled. Got a pretty good texture.

La ilustración cobró bastante vida después de agregar las sombras y un poco de iluminación al mismo tiempo para crear contraste. Terminó viéndose muy completo al finalizar con este paso.

➌ Shading:
The illustration came quite alive after adding the shadows and a bit of lighting at the same time to create contrast. It ended up looking very complete at the end of this step.

Agregué detalles pequeños para resaltar más lo que ya tenía debajo. Poco a poco se vuelve natural la forma en la que salen los trazos o los lugares donde se debe agregar o quitar cierta línea. Una ventaja que se obtiene de la práctica.

I added small details to further highlight what was already underneath. Little by little, the way in which the strokes come out or the places where a certain line must be added or removed becomes natural. An advantage that comes from practice.

Utilicé los modos de fusión Dividir y Añadir para iluminar el color amarillo de las estrellas y darle toques de color en algunas partes de la piel. Tambien un poco de luz ambiental con el modo de fusión Superposición. Ayuda mucho a realzar los colores utilizar algunos modo de fusión en las ilustraciones.
Utilicé los modos de fusión Dividir y Añadir para iluminar el color amarillo de las estrellas y darle toques de color en algunas partes de la piel. Tambien un poco de luz ambiental con el modo de fusión Superposición. Ayuda mucho a realzar los colores utilizar algunos modo de fusión en las ilustraciones.

I used the Split and Add blending modes to brighten the yellow color of the stars and add splashes of color to some parts of the skin. Also some ambient light with the blending mode Overlay. It helps a lot to enhance the colors to use some blending mode in the illustrations.

Personalmente no he leído el libro, ni he visto la pelicula, pero la tendré en cuenta para luego
Igual te recomiendo que veas o leas el libro de El Perfume, es buenisima, capaz y te inspiras de ahí

Hola @josemoises Sí, es una ilustración digital. La hice en la aplicación Ibis Paint X desde mi celular. Sólo el boceto lo hice de forma tradicional con papel y lápiz. Me alegra que te guste. He visto la película de El perfume, no sabía que tenía libro. Lo tomaré en cuenta. Saludos 🤗
