Hello everyone 👧.

On weekend Sunday which was not my working day, I have time to bring my Mom 💃 to groceries and windows shopping from 11am to 4pm😫. Its taking more time hours to getting our shopping checklists done as next week Chinese Dongzhi Festival and Christmas celebration which many people going out to buy fresh foods for family's dinner gathering and search for Christmas gifts.

After done our shopping, I'm craving for Satay for dinner and in the same time lesser my Mom burden in making dinner later due to tiredness for walking (shopping😅) outside in long hours.

SATAY HUNT

Before back to our home, we drop by at the food court which near my housing area. There got a hawker stall selling Satay operated by a handsome young guy alone.

Sorry if this GIF very small for viewing as there was size limitation in uploading this GIF . Did you saw meow meow 🐱?

We ordered chicken and beef Satay which only cost RM0.80 (0.19USD) each. My family were Satay lovers so we order 40 Satay and 2 Ketupat for takeaways.

In the olden days, people using this hand fan manually to cooling down the Satay or smoke remover. Referring the picture that showed above, to make his work more efficiently (working alone), he using electronic table fan to replace the hand fan to do his cooking.

The owner of this stall just left his stall for sending the food to the customer table who dine in at the food court. What amazed me that he just left his cash box on the table without worry the people will snatch it away. 😂

We directly back to home after our ordered Satay done packing.

EARLY DINNER

My family usually have our dinner at 7pm at night but we have it earlier at 5pm as we can't wait to eat the Satay while its still hot or warm. Our mouth also keep on watering 🤤 when smelling the aroma from the Satay.

I and my Mom had bought some foods from our shopping journey, Popiah Bergedil and Kuih Angku . We plan to eat it as snack but now we eat it as early dinner together with the Satay.

SATAY 🍢🍡

The Satay best to consume with peanut sauce. We also eat the Ketupat with the peanut sauce. The sauce provided by the hawker stall not spicy which many people who don't like spicy food can consume it. I prefer spicy version of peanut sauce but not many stall sell it in Sabah.

POPIAH BERGEDIL

Popiah Bergedil is a hash brown or smash boiled potato and its been fried with spring roll wrapping.

9.jpg

There was special light soy sauce prepared for this Popiah Bergedil. I tried eat this Popiah Bergedil with the two sauces, the light soy sauce and the peanut sauce from Satay. Its more delicious to eat it with peanut sauce for my preferences. 😋

KUIH ANGKU

Kuih Angku (malay language) is a chinese pastry made by sticky glutinous rice. Its filling usually in raw peanut paste and red bean paste.

13.jpg

We ask the seller who selling this Kuih Angku said is raw peanut paste and red bean paste but when we ate it during our dinner one of it not raw peanut paste (my Mom a bit sad on it😅). The other filling was pandan paste which in green colour.

UNBOXING COFFEE

I bought these 2 boxes of coffee during our shopping at a supermarket.

Usually these boxes of coffees sell at tourist souvenir shop. Since my country still close border and no foreign tourists to visit here, maybe the supplier want to clear it coffee stocks before it expiration date.

The usual price usually around RM18.00 to RM20.00 (around 4.50USD) per box of coffee. Now they just sell the coffee for RM15.00 (3.60 USD) each at the supermarket where I bought it.

There's only 2 types of coffee so far I saw for this brand and the box front appearance showing that this coffee from Sabah.

16.jpg

The back side appearance of the coffee showing our native or local people (Kadazan/Dusun) wearing traditional clothes with our tradition dance gesture and music instrument. The lady dancing Sumazau dance whereas the guy playing music instrument Sompoton .

The background was Mount Kinabalu, the tallest mountain in Malaysia located at Ranau, Sabah. Another background shown I ❤️ KK means I love Kota Kinabalu, the city of Sabah and Bayau, the long nose monkey which can be found in Sabah, Borneo mangrove forest.

17.jpg

Only 10 packs of instant coffees inside a coffee box.

18.jpg

Sabah attraction listings were stated at the other side of the box but what I surprised that this coffee was manufacture from Sarawak, our neighbour Borneo friend.😱. I thought Sabah's product will be made in Sabah but not.

19.jpg

Now more confusing. Why both packaging from two different boxes of coffee in same green colour 😵. We only can differentiate the flavor of coffee by reading the wording stated on the coffee pack there.

20.jpg

I not yet try on the coffee as I prefer consume it during morning. Maybe if you curious about it you can left a comment to ask me whether good or not. By that time I already tried it. 😉

Thanks and hope you enjoy reading it.🤗

The amount of meat skewed 😲 so generous. In KL, Harga RM1 hingga RM1.20, tetapi kecil saja meat dia 😅

The average price of Satay here also RM1 or more if you order at attraction places. The Satay stall that I bought was at housing area and near my house by walking distance. 😬

As soon as I saw your Mom was part of this adventure, I was reading with great excitement. Well, it sounds like Mom was pretty well-behaved on this adventure. That satay style has become very popular with Cambodian factory workers who have a long early morning commute standing in the back of a truck each day. They wake up at 3 or 4am, put some coals on, grill the meat while getting ready, and eat it while with one hand while holding on in the truck.

😵Actually my Mom want me start our journey at 7.30am for morning market but I ignored it. Or not our journey will from 7.30am to 4pm or more. 😖 Very tired as I only sleep 3 hours if I wake up at 7am that time.
