Decorated my House with Chinese New Year Decorations 🏮🏮🏮

Hello everyone 👧. Recently, I'm too busy with my work life in order to done the tasks earlier so that I can have my long periods of holiday during Chinese New Year festival. Now, I'm still busy with work but at least got time to do daily posting and engagement now. 📑

Previously during Christmas season 🌲, my house been decorated with Christmas tree. Now, less than half month for the Chinese New Year celebration, we or my family members decorated my house with Chinese New Year decorations.🏮

For this post, I'm going to shared about the Chinese New Year decorations that decorated in my house. 🏘️

Cherry Blossoms Tree and Angpow/Red Packet Handicraft 🍒🌸

Same as Christmas season we have pine tree as decoration, Chinese New Year also got it own decoration tree which is cherry blossoms tree or plum blossoms tree.

We don't have the real cherry blossoms tree in my place, so my late-grandpa or my dad will go to the jungle search any suitable tree's branches to bring home for Chinese New Year decoration. We put the artificial cherry blossoms flowers on the tree branches to make it looks like a cherry blossoms tree.

That's my long ago story when I still a young kid and now we affordable to buy a full set artificial cherry blossoms tree at the shopping mall. This year, we use back the tree decorations that had bought 2-3 years ago as its still looking good for us.

My Mom did the arrangement on the artificial cherry blossoms tree by organizing the tree position and hanging the Chinese New Year's symbol ornaments on the tree. My job only untangle the ornaments that been entangled together from the small box that been kept in last year.

The fishes 🐠 and the tiger 🐯 on the wall were made from red packets or more familiar called it as Angpow packets. I do these crafts ✂️🅰️ myself and I learned it from Youtube's video to make it. I think I need to add more fishes if I got the free time⏰.

Red Lanterns & Red Paper Scrolls 🏮🏮🏮

Many of my old lanterns for Chinese New Year decoration had damaged due to many years had been used it. Since I got extra saving, I buy new lanterns this year. I bought many lanterns as I want more lanterns more good lucks to come to me and my family.

The new type of lantern that I bought need Manpower to set it up. So, @butwo helps me to set it up including hanging the lantern in my house outdoor.

Initially, I bought 8 new lanterns as the number of 8 means prosperity or wealth. But after the lanterns been hang up, Its look weird as the arrangement was 4 lanterns each row. The number of 4 was not good for us as in Chinese its means die or death.

I want to ask @butwo to help me re-arrange the lantern to 3 lanterns for first row and 5 lanterns for second row but I did not do it as I saw him very tired. Thus, I decided to buy extra 2 more lanterns at the Super Save Store as below picture on next day.

Now, the lanterns decoration in my house outdoor or garage looks better and did not have any indication of number 4.

At my house main entrance, we put Red Paper Scrolls with wishes related to spring, wealth and safety. Did you saw Uku Chan there?

We still got 3 extra old lanterns usable and we hang it at first floor balcony where Nikulas, my another dog guarding spot.

Other Decorations

This is not artificial tree but a real fengshui tree. My Mom bought it during our shopping on last weekend. We put it indoor and near our main entrance.

Fire crackers lighting hang on the wall indoor. My old decoration with lighting not functioning and I bought new one together with the lanterns that I had mentioned above.

This is night view of the fire crackers red lighting blinks blinks that I enjoy to see it. 👀
