CHARLIE'S CUP | Panoramic View + Adorable Dogs + Great Food in Cebu!

(Edited)

Have you ever gone to the hills of Busay and Transcentral Highway in Cebu early in the morning? Well, we did!

It was probably the nth time my husband went up there, especially when he’s with his friends but I never got to join them because of my strict parents.

Okay, so now that I’m married and finally out into the world (I know, poor me HAHA), going to Charlie's Cup was first on my list whenever we’d go up there.

And the distance was actually quite far from what I expected!

I didn’t know that it would take almost two hours to get there! Still, we arrived pretty early. The shop hasn’t even opened yet. Opening hours were 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

Look for this signage on your left. Another landmark before it is the Lakeview Le Jardin Botanical Garden

There were still a few people when we got there too! That left us plenty of time (and clear space) to do some photo op!!

I love how they put a Corgi in their logo! I’m a fan of dogs and I was half expecting I’d be seeing Corgis running around the place. My expectations were almost met when I saw more and more customers bringing their own pups to the place!

The view just when you walk into the shop

That tree. Ugh. Apologies for the poor angle photo shots 😂

image.png
There you go! (I think) Hubby is already at the corner taking photos while I'm still by the entrance

image.png
Just look at those hills! I'm enjoying both views, in this case 😉

This family beat us to the swings 😂 But it's okay. Glad that they are enjoying it. Wish we could've tried this one though. I'm sure they had an awesome view too!

Where most diners eat for cool air and hillside view

The "usual" spot where most people take their photos here at Charlie's Cup. Couldn't go home without this signature pose

The place was so full of angles to take photos with. And the view was breathtaking!! I couldn’t pick a chair by the hillside, confused about which has a better panoramic view of the hills!

Their al fresco milk tea area has a cosy ambience too! Though it did not have much of a view, you can definitely feel the wind from the hills and would be a great place to chill and sip with your friends.

Charlie's Cup merchandise! I was almost tempted to ask about those mugs and tumblers. Thank goodness no one was around to lure me into buying one!

Their stairs are pretty unique. When going up, those steps are actually paintings of these adorable Corgis!

What really struck my husband was this treehouse. It didn’t look much. I didn't even notice it until he pointed it out. But with his knack of finding unique spots for photo ops, my husband was able to come up with this! (of course, with the help of our trusty tripod!)

And here's my favorite shot ❤️

When the place opened, we were so hungry. I could eat a big plate of anything! And just my luck! There actually is one!

image.png

If you’re going there for breakfast, I suggest getting the BIG BREAKFAST. It’s large enough to feed two people but since we were so hungry, we ordered one for each! It costs around Php 250 or $5 (which is pricey for me but definitely worth it!) This doesn’t include the drink so I got myself a Hot Cafe Latte.

Sharing to you their menu:

As we finished eating, more and more people came by. Families, pet owners, couples, kids -- it was a good sight. It actually felt as if it was already normal and that people could enjoy some nature and good time with each other, without ever worrying about any pandemic or crisis.

Anyway, getting sentimental there. I’ve really enjoyed our time in Charlie’s Cup. And I would love to go back there! (And I’m definitely going to try out their Spam Fries next time!!😋)
