[ENG/ESP] A productive Wednesday
Happy Wednesday, wonderful community. Here I am again this week to share my day with you and take part in @tattoodjay’s initiative, which has already become a pleasant routine in my workdays. Today the weather gave us a break: less humidity than in previous days and a breeze that made the constant back-and-forth between errands and work more bearable. That combination of sunshine and fresh air always helps start the day in a better mood.
Like every morning, we left early, almost at dawn, because we knew a day of paperwork awaited us. And we all know what that’s like: long, slow, and sometimes a bit exhausting. But necessary.
Feliz miércoles, hermosa comunidad. Una semana más estoy aquí con ustedes para compartir mi recorrido y participar en la iniciativa de @tattoodjay, que ya se ha convertido en una rutina agradable dentro de mis días laborales. Hoy el clima nos regaló un respiro; menos humedad que en jornadas anteriores y una brisa que hacía más llevadero el movimiento constante entre diligencias y trabajo. Esa combinación de sol y aire fresco siempre ayuda a comenzar el día con mejor ánimo.
Como cada mañana, salimos temprano, casi al amanecer, porque sabíamos que nos esperaba una jornada de trámites. Y ya todos sabemos cómo son; largos, lentos y, a veces, un poco agotadores. Pero necesarios.
We had to go into town to catch up on our taxes and apply for an annual permit that allows us to continue offering our services legally and responsibly. I like to keep everything up to date, so even if it means getting up early and waiting, I prefer to meet every requirement.
Our first stop was the Mariño City Hall. There, as always, we had to wait our turn. The room was full of people with the same goal: to get up to date. When we finally went in, the process was quick; the wait took longer than the payment itself. But that’s how the bureaucratic world works—a necessary evil that ensures everything runs as it should.
Teníamos que trasladarnos a la ciudad para ponernos al día con los impuestos y tramitar un permiso anual que nos permite seguir ofreciendo nuestros servicios de manera legal y responsable. A mí me gusta estar al día con todo, así que, aunque implique madrugar y esperar, prefiero cumplir con cada requisito.
Nuestra primera parada fue la alcaldía de Mariño. Allí, como siempre, tocó esperar nuestro turno. La sala estaba llena de personas con la misma intención; ponerse al día. Cuando por fin entramos, el proceso fue rápido; más tardó la espera que el pago en sí. Pero así es el mundo burocrático; un mal necesario que garantiza que todo funcione como debe ser.
Once we left, we crossed the street to head to SEDATEBNP, located at the corner of San Rafael Street and Callejón los Pinos, in Porlamar, Nueva Esparta State, Margarita Island, where we had to pay the fee for one of the services we offer. This permit, which we must renew every year, is what authorizes and certifies us with the authorities.
We spent most of the morning running between offices. Payments, signatures, stamps, receipts… a series of steps that, though repetitive, is essential to keep everything in order. Finally, with the receipts in hand and the peace of mind that comes with having fulfilled our obligations, we headed to Sunsol Unik to continue with our work routine.
Una vez salimos, cruzamos la calle para dirigirnos a SEDATEBNP, ubicado en la Calle San Rafael esquina Callejón los Pinos, Porlamar, Estado Nueva esparta, Isla Margarita, donde debíamos cancelar el arancel correspondiente a uno de los servicios que ofrecemos. Este permiso, que debemos actualizar cada año, es el que nos avala y certifica ante las autoridades.
Entre una oficina y otra se nos fue gran parte de la mañana. Pagos, firmas, sellos, comprobantes… una cadena de pasos que, aunque repetitiva, es indispensable para mantener todo en regla. Al final, con los recibos en mano y la tranquilidad de haber cumplido, nos dirigimos a Sunsol Unik para continuar con nuestra rutina laboral.
There, we performed the disinfection and chlorination of the main tank. As always, we waited patiently for the parameters to stabilize and fall within the correct ranges. Once everything had been verified, we left with that special sense of satisfaction that comes from a job well done.
Allí realizamos el servicio de desinfección y cloración del tanque principal. Como siempre, esperamos pacientemente a que los parámetros se estabilizaran y dieran dentro de los rangos correctos. Una vez verificado todo, nos marchamos con esa satisfacción tan particular que deja el deber cumplido.
Dear friends of #wednesdaywalk, this is how our day went—busy, hectic, filled with errands and work, but also filled with that sense of order and peace that comes when you know you’ve done what you needed to do. Every task completed, every service provided, is one more step toward keeping our company running responsibly and professionally.
