[ENG/ESP] My Day Between the City and the Margarita Coast
I hope your Tuesday is a great day, full of good moments and little joys that make the week feel lighter. Today I want to tell you about my first day of the week, which I started with renewed energy and a willingness to tackle every task that came my way. Sometimes the start of the week can feel like a drag, but this time I woke up feeling different—as if my body and mind had found a perfect balance over the weekend.
The day dawned cloudy and a bit rainy. The intermittent drizzle seemed to want to accompany us in silence, as if to remind us that even gray days have their charm. Despite the weather that made staying home so tempting, work doesn’t wait for cloudy skies or raindrops. When you have responsibilities, you simply have to get up, get organized, and go out and get things done. And that’s exactly what we did.

Hoy quiero contarles cómo fue mi primer día de esta semana, que recibí con energías renovadas y con la disposición de cumplir con cada tarea que se presentara. A veces los comienzos de semana pueden sentirse pesados, pero esta vez me levanté con una sensación distinta, como si el cuerpo y la mente hubieran encontrado un punto de equilibrio perfecto durante el descanso del fin de semana.
El día amaneció nublado y un tanto lluvioso. La llovizna intermitente parecía querer acompañarnos en silencio, como si quisiera recordarnos que incluso los días grises tienen su encanto. A pesar de ese clima que invitaba a quedarse en casa, el trabajo no espera por cielos nublados ni por gotas de lluvia. Cuando hay responsabilidades, simplemente hay que levantarse, organizarse y salir a cumplir. Y así lo hicimos.
This Monday’s schedule involved carrying out our work routine at two locations: the Parque Costa Azul Shopping Center and the Sunsol Isla Caribe Hotel. Both are part of our usual route, but each visit has its own pace and unique character. First, we headed to the shopping center, located in the city. During the trip, the gray landscape accompanied us like a soft curtain covering everything: buildings, streets, mountains, and even the sea in the distance. It wasn’t a sad gray, but a serene, almost contemplative one.
La jornada de este lunes consistía en realizar nuestra rutina de trabajo en dos lugares; el Centro Comercial Parque Costa Azul y el hotel Sunsol Isla Caribe. Ambos forman parte de nuestro recorrido habitual, pero cada visita tiene su propio ritmo y particularidad. Primero nos dirigimos al centro comercial, ubicado en la ciudad. Durante el trayecto, el paisaje gris nos acompañó como una especie de telón suave que cubría todo: edificios, calles, montañas y hasta el mar a lo lejos. No era un gris triste, sino uno sereno, casi reflexivo.
When we arrived at the shopping center, we carried out our chlorination and disinfection routine. Everything went smoothly; the test results were excellent, and that always gives us a great sense of satisfaction. Knowing that the job is done right, that the systems are functioning properly, and that every space is safe for those who use it is a comforting feeling.
Al llegar al centro comercial realizamos nuestra rutina de cloración y desinfección. Todo salió sin contratiempos, los niveles dieron excelentes resultados y eso siempre nos llena de satisfacción. Saber que el trabajo está bien hecho, que los sistemas quedan funcionando correctamente y que cada espacio queda seguro para quienes lo utilizan, es una sensación que reconforta.
With the first task of the day completed, we headed to the support center to coordinate the delivery of aid to our community. It was a task I was assigned at the last minute because I happened to be in town, but I gladly took it on. After getting everything organized, we continued on our way to tackle the second part of the day.
We were headed to Playa El Tirano, where the Sunsol Isla Caribe hotel is located. There, we had to carry out our usual work routine and submit the invoice for last week. Everything went smoothly, without any issues, and the results were once again excellent. When work flows like that, you feel like the day is moving along at a good pace.
Con la primera tarea del día cumplida, nos dirigimos al punto de apoyo para coordinar la entrega de ayuda para nuestra comunidad. Era una tarea que me asignaron a última hora por estar en la ciudad, pero la asumí con gusto. Después de dejar todo organizado, continuamos nuestro recorrido para cumplir con la segunda parte del día.
Nos tocaba ir a Playa El Tirano, donde se encuentra el hotel Sunsol Isla Caribe. Allí debíamos realizar nuestra rutina de trabajo y entregar la factura correspondiente a la semana pasada. Todo se desarrolló de manera satisfactoria, sin inconvenientes, y los niveles nuevamente estaban muy bien. Cuando el trabajo fluye así, uno siente que el día avanza con buen ritmo.
As we left the hotel, we took advantage of the fact that it’s right next to the beach to give our eyes a little break. Although the sky was still gray, the sea never loses its charm. Its shifting hues, its distinctive scent, the sound of the waves, and even the damp breeze that blows in without asking permission always offer a moment of calm. Sometimes all it takes is seeing a boat in the distance, a bird flying across the sky, or simply watching the waves roll in and out to feel your heart settle.
Al salir del hotel, aprovechamos que está pegado a la playa para darnos un pequeño respiro visual. Aunque el cielo seguía gris, el mar nunca pierde su encanto. Sus tonalidades cambiantes, su olor característico, el sonido de las olas y hasta la brisa húmeda que llega sin pedir permiso, siempre regalan un momento de calma. A veces basta ver un bote a lo lejos, un ave cruzando el cielo o simplemente observar cómo las olas se acercan y se alejan para sentir que el corazón se acomoda.
And so, gazing out at the sea and the mountains, we set off on our way home with happy hearts and light minds. It was a simple Monday, but one filled with those little details that make the day worthwhile.
Así, mirando el mar y las montañas, emprendimos el camino de regreso a casa con el corazón contento y la mente ligera. Fue un lunes sencillo, pero lleno de esos pequeños detalles que hacen que el día valga la pena.
