[ENG/ESP] Scenes that are part of my daily work routine.
It’s already Friday, and—as is usually the case every week—that moment has arrived when you feel a mix of relief and satisfaction. It’ll be my last day at work for the time being, but that doesn’t mean it’ll be any less hectic. In addition to going through my usual routine, I have to stop by the accountant’s office to review the balance sheet for the first six months of the year. Paperwork has never been my favorite part of the job—I’ll admit it—but it’s essential for the company to operate in a healthy, organized manner and keep all its taxes up to date. It’s one of those responsibilities that, while not exactly exciting, brings peace of mind once they’re taken care of.
In today’s post, I want to share a little glimpse of my trip to the Ecoland Hotel, where I carried out the chlorination and disinfection routine for the main tank and the Australian tank. To get there, we decided to take the Portachuelo route, which is always the fastest and also one of the most beautiful.
Ya hoy es viernes y, como suele pasar cada semana, llega ese momento en el que uno siente una mezcla de alivio y satisfacción. Será mi último día de trabajo por estos días, pero no por eso menos movido. Además de cumplir con mi rutina habitual, tengo que pasar por la oficina de la contadora para revisar el balance de los primeros seis meses del año. El papeleo nunca ha sido mi parte favorita, lo admito, pero es imprescindible para que la compañía funcione de manera saludable, organizada y con todos los impuestos al día. Es una de esas responsabilidades que, aunque no entusiasman, dan tranquilidad cuando se cumplen.
En mi publicación de hoy quiero compartirles un pedacito de mi recorrido hacia el hotel Ecoland, donde realicé la rutina de cloración y desinfección del tanque principal y del tanque australiano. Para llegar decidimos tomar la vía de Portachuelo, que siempre es la más rápida y, además, una de las más hermosas.
There's something special about that road; it's full of hills, trees, and scenery that looks like something out of a postcard. Seeing so much green in the landscape is a beautiful and enchanting sight—almost therapeutic. The combination of nature, silence, and colors makes the journey feel short, even though the distance is considerable.
Ese camino tiene algo especial; está lleno de cerros, árboles y paisajes que parecen sacados de una postal. Ver tantos verdes en el paisaje es una escena hermosa y encantadora, casi terapéutica. La combinación de naturaleza, silencio y colores hace que el trayecto se sienta corto, aunque la distancia sea considerable.
When we arrived at the hotel, we got right to work. We had to perform the full cleaning routine on both tanks because there were guests staying there, and it’s essential to keep everything spotless to ensure their comfort. My husband, the maintenance man, and the always charismatic Carel went up into the tank. I stayed downstairs, watching and supervising, because I still need to take care of my wrist, which I injured last week. Even though it’s in a splint, I have to avoid certain movements so as not to delay my recovery. Sometimes it’s hard to stay still, but it’s the right thing to do.
Al llegar al hotel nos pusimos manos a la obra. Tocaba efectuar la rutina completa en ambos tanques porque había turistas hospedados, y es fundamental mantener todo impecable para garantizar su bienestar. Subieron al tanque mi esposo, el señor de mantenimiento y la siempre carismática Carel. Yo me quedé abajo, observando y supervisando, porque aún debo cuidarme la muñeca que me lastimé la semana pasada. Aunque la tengo inmovilizada, debo evitar ciertos movimientos para no retrasar la recuperación. A veces cuesta quedarse quieta, pero es lo correcto.
When they finished with the main tank, they moved on to the Australian one. While they were working on the chlorination, I took the opportunity to snap a few photos of the surrounding landscape. From that high vantage point, everything looks particularly beautiful: the hotel, the lagoon, the trees swaying in the wind, and that silence you only hear in places where nature still reigns supreme.
Cuando terminaron con el tanque principal, pasaron al australiano. Mientras ellos trabajaban en la cloración, aproveché para tomar algunas fotos del paisaje que nos rodea. Desde ese punto elevado se aprecia todo con una belleza particular; el hotel, la laguna, los árboles que se mecen con el viento, y ese silencio que solo se escucha en lugares donde la naturaleza todavía manda.
These views are so beautiful that I felt the need to share them with you. There are moments worth cherishing, and this was one of them.
Once all the work was done, we left the hotel with a sense of satisfaction that comes only when things are done right. It’s the perfect way to end the workweek: tasks completed, scenery enjoyed, and the certainty that every day brings something new, beautiful, and valuable.
Son vistas tan hermosas que sentí la necesidad de compartirlas con ustedes. Hay momentos que merecen ser guardados, y este fue uno de ellos.
Al finalizar todo el trabajo, nos retiramos del hotel con una sensación de satisfacción que solo se obtiene cuando las cosas se hacen bien. Es un cierre perfecto para la semana laboral; deberes cumplidos, paisajes disfrutados y la certeza de que cada día aporta algo nuevo, hermoso y valioso.
