[ENG/ESP] The beauty that accompanies my workdays

photo_2026-07-24_22-58-33.jpg

I hope you’re enjoying your time off, so I hope you have a great time. As for me, I have to work, and this Saturday will be my last workday of the week—I’ll tell you all about it later. Today I want to tell you about my Friday—a day that started early and took me back to the Sunsol Ecoland Hotel to chlorinate the main pool and the Australian-style pool, all in preparation for the arrival of tourists who were already beginning to fill the hotel’s rooms.
I’ll start by telling you that, even though there was a downpour in the early morning, the day dawned radiant, with intense heat and a sun so strong it seemed to embrace everything. It was one of those days when sunscreen isn’t optional but an absolute necessity, and staying hydrated becomes your faithful companion. The air felt heavy, yet at the same time full of life, as if the island wanted to show off its best side.
To get to the hotel, we took Simplicio Rodríguez Avenue. It’s not the shortest route, but it’s undoubtedly one of the most beautiful. As I’ve mentioned in other posts, this avenue runs along the coastline in the northern part of the island, and it’s impossible to drive down it without stopping—even if only in your mind—to take in the view of the sea.

The combination of hills and the sea is something I love deeply; I never tire of looking at it or capturing it with my camera, even though I know that no photograph can fully capture the natural beauty that my eyes are able to see.

The hills in the distance displayed their shifting shades of green. Different hues blended together in the same space, as if nature were painting every corner with unique brushstrokes. That visual spectacle always fills me with a sense of calm and reminds me why I enjoy these drives so much, even when I’m on my way to work.

My husband and I arrived at the hotel, where the charismatic Carel was waiting for us to go up to the main tank with us. She always greets us with a smile, and that makes any workday go by more easily. We went up to the tank and carried out the chlorination and disinfection of both tanks, following each step with the precision required for this type of work.

After checking the readings and confirming that everything was in order, we took a moment to enjoy the views from that spot. With the weather so beautiful, the landscape looked like a collection of perfect postcards. The sea sparkled as if it were covered with tiny crystals, and the hills looked majestic in the sunlight. Of course, I took some pictures with my camera so I could show them to you later.

We climbed down from the tank with the same joy with which we’d started our day. Because if there’s one thing about living surrounded by so much nature, it’s the chance to appreciate its most beautiful moments—the ones that have the power to relax you, clear your mind, and make the day feel different, lighter, and more special.
Tomorrow I’ll see you again in another post to tell you how my work week ended and what new experiences it brought me. See you soon.
Bye.

Chao.

Your comment really touched my heart. Sometimes the days are long, but when the island reveals itself like this—the sea, the hills, the breeze—you feel it’s worth stopping for a moment to breathe. And having my husband by my side on these walks makes it even more special. Thank you for your kind wishes; I’ll keep sharing these moments that make work feel more human.🌹🌷🌻🥀🪷💮🪻🏵️💐🌸🌺🍀

It must be nice to have a job that lets you enjoy views like these along the way. Even though you were heading to work, the drive looked peaceful, especially with the coastline and green hills surrounding you. I also liked how you mentioned taking a moment to appreciate the scenery after finishing the chlorination work. Those little pauses can make a busy day feel much more rewarding. Wishing you many more safe workdays with beautiful landscapes to enjoy, and I look forward to reading about how the rest of your week went! 🌊🌿

Your message really made my day. Sometimes work takes me down long roads, but when the island looks like this—green, vast, serene—you feel like your fatigue settles in more easily. That moment after the chlorination, when I stopped to look at the landscape, was just what I needed to catch my breath and keep going. Thank you for your kind wishes; I promise to keep sharing how the week is going and the hidden gems I discover along the way.🌹🌷🌻🥀🪷💮🪻🏵️💐🌸🌺🍀
