[ENG/ESP]An afternoon of coffee, chocolate and culture.
Greetings to everyone in this beautiful community of # cinnamoncupcoffee ! I tell you that this week that just ended, on the island of Margarita was all crazy due to the large number of tourists who have come to shop and moving was very complicated for those of us who live here, so the best idea was to stay at home to avoid stress.
For me, it has become a habit to spend time in the space of our house that we consider the most enjoyable and relaxing: our back terrace.

Les comento que esta semana que recién terminó, en la isla de Margarita fue todo una locura debido al gran número de turistas que han llegado a hacer compras y trasladarse fue muy complicado para los que vivimos aquí, así que la mejor idea era quedarse en casa para evitar el estrés.
Para mí, ya es costumbre pasar el tiempo en el espacio de nuestra casa que consideramos el más ameno y relajante: nuestra terraza trasera.
Yesterday, I invited a friend with her two little girls who wanted to come early in the morning, since there is enough space in the courtyard for them to release their energy.
Ayer, invité a una amiga con sus dos pequeñas niñas que desde temprano querían venir, ya que en el patio hay suficiente espacio para que liberen la energía.
For the girls I prepared a chocolate with cookies, pure sugar which had them super active, hahaha 🤣. And for us, we prepared some cold chocolate cups with coffee. Whew, it turned out so delicious! We listened to music by the late Cuban singer Polo Montañez and between stories, laughter and coffee, we had a great afternoon. My neighbor gave me a recipe for a cake that is only eaten at Easter and I showed her another recipe for fritters that my mom makes and that are very tasty.
Para las niñas preparé un chocolate con galletas, pura azúcar lo que las tenía súper activas, jajaja 🤣. Y para nosotras, preparamos unas copas de chocolate frío con café. Uff, ¡quedó muy delicioso! Escuchamos música del difunto cantante cubano Polo Montañez y entre cuentos, risas y café, pasamos una tarde genial. Mi vecina me dio una receta de un pastel que solo se come en Semana Santa y yo le mostré otra de buñuelos que mi mamá hace y que son muy ricos.
When it was time to leave, the girls did not want to go, it was a dilemma. They made their mom promise to bring them back the next day. But with cookies everything was solved.
It was a great afternoon where we exchanged stories, anecdotes, recipes from two cultures, Cuban and Venezuelan, all with a delicious coffee and chocolate. Since I had such a great time that afternoon, I wanted to share it with you because I didn't want that great moment to remain only in our memories.

A la hora de marcharse, las niñas no querían irse, fue un dilema. Le hacían prometer a su mamá que al día siguiente tenían que traerlas de nuevo. Pero con galletas todo se solucionó.
Fue una tarde genial donde intercambiamos cuentos, anécdotas, recetas de dos culturas, la cubana y la venezolana, todo con un rico café con chocolate. Como esa tarde la pasé tan bien, quise compartirla con ustedes porque no quería que ese momento tan genial no solo quedara en nuestros recuerdos.
