How does one go about making Hive more "acceptable" if you know that cryptocurrency is not yet accepted in the country, while you know a number of people who could benefit from it and who would bring value to this space? Let's discuss 🤓.

Tell them about the one thing Hive offers that they would really care about. Earn for blogging? Games? Free speech / censorship resistance? Be an early adopter? What is it that they want to do?

I am constantly trying to explain it to my friends as essentially working like a co-op, and they seem to get it, but so far of the few who have made accounts, no one has stuck around. I'm always told that they don't know what to write about.

Point them over here to dbuzz and they can start with just short little buzzes, takes the pressure off of "knowing what to write about" 🙂

Hahahaa definitely!
If you can post every so often on "conventional" social media, dbuzz should be a good segue into posting longer articles on Hive.

Hmmmmm I've read about that experience of so many who have stuck around and been around the (Hive) block for years. Suriname is a small community/country that's still developing. I know a few people who would do great in my opinion, but like you said I wonder if they'll be able to stick it out.

But like you and I and a lot who've been here for years, we've also been there and still managed to write however small it may be.

What @kendewitt said. Also, tell the tale of Dogecoin: for years it was limited 2 community faithful when it was worth less than 0.01, & then in January 2021 it mooned 2 @ 0.75. No1 laughs @ DOGE anymore, Hive's better than Dogecoin, so imagine what will happen when Hive moons.
