Angela And Shawn's Relationship Dynamic 🎥 Boy Meets World

avatar

Who remembers the couple Angela Moore and Shawn Hunter from the television sitcom Boy Meets World? They were one of the pairings I used to root for when I watched this series, because their storyline somewhat mimicked real life relationships and some struggles these could face in reality.

I'm not saying that all couples face similar problems in real life, but the way their arch was written felt real, as opposed to the Topanga Lawrence and Cory Matthews fairy-tale-ending. Cory and Topanga did of course face issues, but the way they resolved those seemed too easy. It's a relationship we would like to strive to, but it takes more effort and time in reality, which Angela and Shawn were working towards.

So it broke my very young heart - that was too green to know what real life couples go through - when Angela left Shawn to go and spend time with her father, who was in the military. I also wanted them to eventually end up together, but this sitcom opted to also write in a relationship that doesn't always end in marriage with the white picket fence home. In my imagination - when the series ended - they would eventually end up together, but the writers brought me back to reality again in the sequel Girl Meets World.

Because it turned out that Angela and Shawn ended up with completely different people. Though that revelation was again a disappointment, the writers still did a fine job in composing a real life situation. Angela and Shawn are the embodiment of (some) people coming into our lives for a reason, who aren't always meant to stay. They also shared some experiences, that made them understand each other, which they might not share with their new life partners. They are there to help each other overcome those similar fears and become better for their new families.

Thanks for your review. It is fun to go back and think about all of the characters in shows we used to watch and how they ended up or should have! Thanks.

It was my pleasure writing my thoughts down... and thank you for appreciating it 😊.

I know... It was fun going down memory lane and remembering how these shows affected me. Good times.

Girl Meets World was my favorite shows. I watched all of Boy Meets World too. I totally agree I was sad to see Shawn and Angela not together. However, the way he was able to become the step-father to that other girl was moving. Well, not saying it was the best choice for the writers to make that kind of decision to do all of that. I'm just saying it was done in a pretty captivating way. I was sad to see the show end.

Ultimately, I forget why they separated in the first place. So, if Shawn and Angela were so good together, then why separate in the first place? I guess I would have to rewatch to remember the details. I'm a bit split in how I feel. It's possible they were not really as compatible with each other as they thought. Perhaps, they were too young to realize that. If so, then it is good they separated and stayed separated.

Same and also found that the storyline was rushed, but I think that it was because they were about to cancel the show. I also wanted to see more of the sequel.

From what I remember is that Angela grew up without her mom - which had an effect on her in letting people in - and her dad used to travel a lot being in the military. So when her father returned, he asked her to come and travel with him - I think Europe - and they didn't know how long that would be. That's when Shawn let her go. He didn't want her to regret staying.

I also think that they were too young and still finding themselves. They didn't have the stability Topanga and Cory had.

Yeah, she went with her dad. I am starting to remember those episodes from Boy Meets World. They were emotional ones.

They were emotional ones.

I can't say that these emotions weren't expressed on tv before, but it was when I first remember seeing it on the small screen.

Ah Full House is a whole other story. I'll have to re-watch the original first before I'll go into the reboot. I've seen some episodes from the reboot though and I'm still undecided, but I think that I'll enjoy it none the less.

I grew up watching Full House. I love it. I ended up watching all the episodes a few years ago, all seven seasons. I would say you don't have to watch Full House to understand Fuller House. But it does help in the same way you don't have to watch Boy Meets World to understand Girl Meets World. But it does help to understand Cory better. It adds depth and meaning. So, kids can connect to the newer characters which can be good. Some of them will end up going back to watch the original series too which I think is amazing. So, same thing with Fuller House.

Fuller House is a fun show. The style is a little different than Girl Meets World. Fuller House is more focused more on comedy. Girls Meets World is more revolved around the classroom at school. Fuller House is more focused on the house and generally has a lot more characters. Girl Meets World has more kids and more of a focus on the kids than Fuller House.

Fuller House is focused on several families that are friends with each other. It's mostly focused on one family plus their neighbors, friends, etc. But the family is a bit bigger than the main family on Girl Meets World. There are roughly five main kids and teens that Fuller House focuses on and there were sometimes a few other kids too.

The two main adults in Girl Meets World is Corey and his wife. Fuller House has four main adults who were kids in Full House. So, we get to see these four adults and their kids in Fuller House. Girl Meets World focused on Corey's family. But in Fuller House, the story revolves around two main families. And those two families came from two girls who were best friends in Full House. They grow up and end up having kids and being neighbors.

Fuller House focuses on three single women. One woman is DJ who has three sons. But she is a widow. The 2nd woman is her sister, Stephanie. But she has no kids. The third woman is DJ's best friend, Kimmy. And she has one daughter named Ramona who is sort of like Riley from Girl Meets World.

The main theme of Girl Meets World is on girl Riley and her journey towards womanhood in general plus a side plot in sisterhood with her best friend, that blond girl who I think is a singer musician.

The main theme of Fuller House is focused on the three mothers finding love. It deals with many different things. But a major theme and the main story arch throughout all the seasons is related to dating and marriage. I found Fuller House to be romantic, funny, interesting, emotionally moving at times, very surprising and exciting at times more so than Girl Meets World.

The style between the two shows are pretty different. Fuller House is a kind of show that has more variety than Girl Meets World, generally speaking. So, you may sometimes find different styles in different episodes of Fuller House. So, I enjoyed watching it because it was always full of surprises. Girl Meets World was generally more predictable. But I do love both shows a whole lot. But I just love both shows in different ways. Because they're different but also similar in some ways.

Heeey... Reading the last comments just now. I was offline for a while, because of a lot of positive changes happening in my life that needed my full attention.

Valid points regarding the differences between both shows, with the main one as Fuller House is following three adult women trying to get back on their feet and Girl Meets World is following teenage girls finding themselves as they are on the verge of becoming adults.

Another difference is the network: one being Dinsey and the other Netflix, with their own regulations and rules regarding what is allowed on screen.

Yeah, we can see style differences between Disney shows and Netflix shows. Oh, I'm glad good things happening in your life.
