I think Space X and Tesla have shaken up their respective industries and that is a good thing. Musk may be a 'genius', however you measure that, but he's also a fucking idiot at times. He has his loyal fanboys who may like his seemingly anti-establishment attitude, but others will be put off his by his actions.
I do wonder if he really wanted to buy Twitter, but was legally forced to in the end. It's all very well talking about free speech, but he has to obey the local laws where it operates, such as shutting down oppositions accounts in Turkey. Managing a social platform brings massive responsibilities and all the legal issues. He will hand that over to someone else to deal with.
He loves publicity of any kind. I wonder if he will follow Trump into politics and they both have massive egos. He may at least be brighter than Trump. We shall see.
Every authoritarian government in the world now knows exactly how to get their opponents banned off Twitter now.
Name one that isnt.

You can't say they are all at the same level. The US is still relatively free, but that could be at risk if some get their way. The UK needs to watch out too. Beware of 'strongman' leaders.
I don't think anyone can call the USA an authoritarian government. An authoritarian government has a highly centralized power center and uses political repression to silence opposition and critics... power is very distributed between the Federal government and the states, the states have a ton of power to enact their own laws. There is absolutely no way an authoritarian government would have an issue like the debt ceiling crisis... this issue is happening because power is fractured across two parties that are themselves fractured.
Seriously? Amazing how a bit of propanda clouds the mind. Musk is now like Trump?
Let me see isnt Musk on record as saying lowering prices of EV to get more units out there is in like with the company mission: to accelerate the world to sustainable energy? Does that sound like an evil capitalist in spite of many blasting him for

I wouldn't say they are the same, but they both love to be controversial and act like normal rules don't apply to them. Musk likes to troll the establishment with drug references and support for memecoins. That may go down well with his game, but he needs to work with governments and corporate partners.
Musk has made EVs more mainstream, but now he needs to compete with the traditional car companies who are catching up.
A CEO having strong opinions can polarise the customers. I don't even know who the bosses of other car companies are.
Interesting times.
