Stemgeeks held a Hack-A-Thon to provide incentive to developers to get creative and kickstart some development ideas on Hive. In my view, it was a successful for the first run.

It is definitely very important. I understand the geeks and know that their diligence is the cause of most of my cool toys working. HIVE included.
Not only a great community but an invested technical backbone as well.
I love what the developers show. The only reason we are here is because of their expertise.
It is going to be fun to watch what they create over the next 12-18 months. This is a clean slate that is already expanding.
