On Hive You Are Your Own Small Business

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

Small business was devastated over the last few decades, especially in developed countries. We find more power in the hands of powerful mega-corporations.

In this video I discuss how Hive is bringing back the idea of the small business owner. In fact, our ativities on Hive are, indeed, a small business. I spell out how people are going about this and a couple ways this could be enhanced.

Better said impossible, my own personal branding starts on Hive with my content, I can't wait to see how far it goes!

It definitely is business-like when we have so many differnet types of tokens and income sources. We have blogging, curating (staking tokens), play to earn and drip tokens.

I have a small NFT renting business on Hive via Splinterlands. That’s one way to look at it, anyway.

I distribute slices of !PIZZA as well. 😝

Hive offers the possibility to generate income with a very low entry treshold. Making some posts is nice but it takes a different dimension when we look at this activity as a business where every reader is a customer that we want to keep happy with interesting content and with answers to their comments. Each comment becomes an opportunity to grow our influence and our customer base. We can extend our reach by going out there and provide comments. It's a slow but organic process and over time our income can grow. With a professional mind set, this business can become pretty interesting and then you can find ways to leverage it through tokenisation and by teaming up with other people. It's pretty exciting and the best type of business I have created so far, and I have created a couple of them :-)

I never though of it that way that a Hiver with his online activity is doing his own business. That to me is something "strange" and perhaps "funny" particularly in the eyes of those who do business the traditional way.

Summary:
In this video, Taskmaster4450 discusses the concept of individuals on Hive being their own small businesses. He emphasizes the importance of decentralization and small businesses in countering the dominance of big corporations, especially in the current economic climate. He then delves into the idea of individuals monetizing their skills and participation in various activities on Hive, such as gaming and content creation, to generate income. Taskmaster4450 also suggests innovative ways for individuals to further leverage their activities on Hive, such as creating their own brands, selling stakes in their earnings, and exploring various community tokens within the platform. He concludes by stressing the need for consistency, quality, and engagement to achieve success both on Hive and in life in general.

Detailed Analysis:
Taskmaster4450 opens the video by highlighting the significance of individuals viewing themselves as small businesses on Hive, stressing the need for decentralization in contrast to the dominance of large corporations. He mentions the challenges faced by small businesses, especially during lockdowns, due to financial constraints and lack of access to markets for sustaining themselves.

The discussion then moves into the concept of "play to earn," where individuals can earn through activities like gaming, content creation, and participation in various communities within Hive. Taskmaster4450 gives examples of platforms like Splinterlands, Axie Infinity, and Gods Unchained that offer opportunities for users to earn rewards through their participation.

He further explores the idea of individuals branding themselves and selling stakes in their earnings, enabling them to function as their own corporations. Taskmaster4450 suggests ways for individuals to enhance their revenues, such as through endorsements, creating videos, or renting out gaming assets.

Taskmaster4450 also touches on the importance of community participation and giving back, emphasizing the principle of "givers get" within the Hive ecosystem. He advocates for consistent effort, quality content, and continuous improvement to succeed both on Hive and in personal endeavors, drawing parallels to success in any business or field.

The video concludes with Taskmaster4450 encouraging viewers to consider themselves as small businesses operating in a digital world. He expresses optimism about the potential for life-changing outcomes within a few years through active engagement and strategic involvement within the Hive community.
