The New Paradigm For Content Creators And Viewers

We are entering an era where everything is changing.

Over the last few articles, we discussed a great deal of this. The old models will fall apart simply due to the fact they lack the ability to compete.

We saw a major evolution due to the Internet. This changed society completely. Today, Internet access is almost a requirement. That is how powerful the medium has become.

Now we are embarking upon a period where things are changing again. To me, the impact will be like the Internet, but on steroids. This is due to the fact technology is presenting many tools that individuals can utilize.

Disruption is something that is covered in these articles. My forecast is massive upheaval in many industries. The power of the digital world keeps expanding. Through this, we are seeing a completely new paradigm emerging.

We are going to show the tie between content creators and consumers in this realm. In the future, major companies are not going to be the ones in control. The new paradigm is a boom for both creators and consumers of content.

High Production Content

The tools available to individuals is only getting better. We are watching a world where the ability to creation high production material with free to inexpensive software is exploding. Naturally, artificial intelligence is a major part of this.

Our present trend is for platforms to incorporate newer features using these developments. We are seeing more powerful tools available to everyone.

For the moment, this is happening at the major platform level. Twitter, Facebook, and Google areall adding different mechanisms for people to use. This is only feed the beast even more.

We do see some light. A lot of the code is open source meaning any developer can pick it up. This is starting to happen as a few smaller applications are embarking upon this path. Here is where we see the technology spreading out.

That said, even if we are using the software of the major technology companies, this still serves the creator. With all that is taking place, my guess is we see high production content from individuals becoming common within the next couple years. This means near anyone will be able to put togehter videos that could garner a great deal of interest.

Will this be Hollywood quality? No. The point here is that the content is good enough for most. That is what will cause the paradism shift.

This is a stark change from the past few decades. The Internet changed distribution, as we see with the streaming wars. The creation of said content is still, for the most part, handled by the major broadcast and movie studios.

It is something that is about to change.

"Paid" Consumers

The second part of the equation is the consumer. This is always the major variable in the equation.

Broadcasts have lives for more than a century in the "attention economy". They know very well that, to succeed, they need eyeballs. People have to turn on their channel. At the same time, Hollywood was dependent upon people turning out to the theaters.

This is how money was made. For the most part, whether it was in person or through cable, the consumer was paying. Even with broadcast television that was free, individuals were not paid for their attention.

Under the new paradigm, people are going to have incentive to consume specific content. While there might not be a direct payment, the monetary component will be present.

It is what tokenization offers. Many call this Web3, something that does not capture the full essence of this transformation.

So the question is how will people be paid?

Loyalty Is The New Oil

How can something stand out in a world where high production content is readily available? What is going to keep people returning?

Another way of looking at this is to focus upon what is scarce. This is, historically, where value comes from. Once something becomes abundant, it is commoditized.

Information is already abundant. Soon, we are going to see a time when networks are abundant. This is the major shift from Web 2.0. The siloed system is going to slowly die.

So where will people move to?

This is an easy question: people will locate to those networks which incentivizes them to consume.

In other words, people are going to operate where they have stake. This is the incentive mechanism we see in place. That said, innovation could lead to other methods of reward for people attention, only enhancing this new model.

Even without direct compensation, we can see how this is going to unfold. If given a choice, are people going to consume content that exists on a platform where they have no stake or give the attention to a network where they do? Obviously, by engaging in different ways on the latter network, the value of one's holdings are enhanced.

That means the networks which have loyalty and dedication from the userbase are going to succeed. Valuation of the coin tied to that network will only grow as the scarcity model changes.

After all, will one go to YouTube if millions of high quality videos can be found on a network one has stake in? At the same time, is one going to use Netflix or Disney+ if that is the case?

Very unlikely.

Certainly there will be specific films or shows people tune in for. However, we have to keep in mind that a new breed of "television" content will appear. The only difference is where it will reside and, more importantly, who will profit.

Massive Adoption

People ask when there will be mass adoption.

Like most transitions, things are evolutionary. The first stages are early adopters who are willing to tolerate spotty technology and are a bit more advanced in terms of figuring these types of things out. Ease of use is absent at this stage.

Major shifts happen when the technology gets to the point where the average person can easily use it. This is when things go parabolic.

For this paradigm, the key is going to be the tools available for the content creators. This is the major variable. Most talk about Web3 and trying to attract people. For the most part I think that is a fool's errand.

The key will be when there is a ton of high production content on these types of platforms. Once people realize they can have stake and enhance it with their attention, then we are talking a massive onslaught.

That said, this is a shift that is going to take place. The major players who are making bank off the present system will fight back. In the end, like most standing in front of technology, they will get bowled over.

Check back towards the end of 2025 and I can guarantee things will look a lot different.

Change is always constant and those not ready to compete will fall off and be separated from the rest. Ready to follow along with the new technologies.

Technology has made almost everything stressless and more accurate. Though the issue of originality with AI is a glitch. But where there isn't any vetting, AI is ideal in content creation.

In essence if a wider range of people who appreciate digitalization get to be fully aware that , Web3 is going to be more as rewardable system for each potential user . In terms of such as television or videos contents related viewers and as well the Creator . That could directly position indeed that , the Web3 drama is going to get landed more as what that has been already going on Hive ecosystem.
That means lots people are bound to get queue very soon.

I agree completely. This is followed up by the long tail concept. More money will move towards the right side of the curve.
