The Lunatics On Capital Hill Want More Control With Crypto

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

It keeps going on and on. This is why I love Hive so much. It is one of a few decentralized chains that offer a way around the tyranny of politicians and bureaucrats.

In this video I discuss Senator Warren and her tribe of zealots are at it again. This time they want the OCC to change its stance on crypto regulations.

Taskmaster, we have a lot of viewpoints in common. When I first got into the crypto space in 2017, that was after the first wave of the Leftwing Lunacy which was popularized with Bernie and then Warren in a more public way.

Listening to her talk makes me feel like I'm dealing with a spoiled 12-year-old child. She is literally the most entitled person in Congress - at least Pelosi married into a wealthy mob-I mean real estate development family.

I haven't read the latest bill from Cynthia Loomis of Wyoming, but, at the very least, the prior week's events surrounding TornadoCash proved the lack of centralization involved with holding USDC as a stable store-of-value, or something to cash out your crypto profits into. IF the congress-critters get their way, THey're gonna tax the living fuck out cryptocurrency capital gains that are declared to the IRS.

They're desperate, they demand their cut of the protection money, and if you dare stand up to them, they will come after you with armed thugs paid for with stolen money from the American tax slave AND weapons and ammunition paid for with the same money.

It's a clown world, thank you for your video, it was appreciated, especially from my tired and worn-down mind.

Summary:
Task discusses the opposition faced by the cryptocurrency industry from politicians, particularly Senator Elizabeth Warren and her colleagues. He criticizes their push for harsher regulations on cryptocurrency, contrasting it with the lack of action in conventional financial industries. Task emphasizes the need for decentralized systems that operate beyond the control of regulators and governments, drawing parallels with the evolution of illegal downloading platforms like Napster and the resilience they've shown against shutdowns. He advocates for the development of infrastructure that sidesteps traditional banking and government regulations.

Detailed Analysis:
Task starts by addressing the criticism towards cryptocurrency from Senator Elizabeth Warren and other politicians, portraying them as ignorant and hypocritical for seeking stricter regulations in the crypto space while overlooking shortcomings in the traditional banking sector. He argues that the current transaction volume and market cap of cryptocurrency do not pose a significant threat to the financial system compared to other financial markets.

Throughout the video, Task stresses the importance of creating infrastructure that operates independently of government control, drawing parallels to the decentralized nature of platforms like Hive. He advocates for a shift towards decentralized governance models and experimentation in this realm to potentially challenge and replace existing governmental structures over time.

Task highlights the need for the cryptocurrency industry to develop mechanisms that resist regulation and control, much like the illegal downloading platforms have continued to operate despite regulatory attempts to shut them down. He suggests that the key to success lies in creating platforms and systems that can adapt and evolve rapidly to circumvent regulatory barriers while emphasizing the potential of blockchain, Web 3.0, and decentralized autonomous organizations in this context.

In conclusion, Task encourages viewers to think about the implications of government intervention and control in the cryptocurrency space and advocates for a decentralized approach to governance and innovation. He envisions a future where decentralized systems like Hive could operate beyond the reach of regulators, positioning them as alternatives to traditional centralized structures. Task asserts that by building infrastructure that operates independently of traditional systems, the cryptocurrency industry could potentially challenge existing power structures and redefine governance paradigms.
