What Will Hive Look Like In 10 Years?

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

We had a telecast with @theycallmedan, @yabapmat, and @anomadsoul having a discussion with Khal about the state of Hive and their projects.

In this video I discuss the path that Hive could take over the next 10 years.

I think it makes sense to invest in things that will live for a long time. It gives you time to see if they succeed and I also think they stand the most chance of surviving any bear market.

10 years? That is a lot of time. Probably many more people will make active and passive income with it. Both pocket money, a nice addition, or even a living. Those, who earn a pocket money or a nice addition nowadays may earn a living with it 10 years later. I am planning to do this consistently, actively in long term. It already helped a lot so far, and probably it will help even more in the next 10 years.

Hive Forever. Decentralised gives unthinkable possibilities.

The onboarding is quite a challenge. The feelers feature is a market beater.

Once understood, hive has no competition 👌

Summary:
In this video, Task discusses his reflections on a recent program where Dan, Yabba, and Khal talked about Hive and its future. Task highlights the uncertainty of predicting Hive's path over the next 10 years due to the rapid evolution of technology. He emphasizes the decentralized and open-source nature of Hive, contrasting it with centrally planned entities like corporations. Task also praises Hive for being fast, fee-less, and capable of supporting a wide range of applications without the burden of high fees. He envisions a powerful ecosystem with thousands of applications built on Hive, leveraging its base layer blockchain and upcoming smart contract platform. Task sees redundancy in different Hive communities as a strength, providing resilience against potential attacks or system failures. He concludes with optimism about Hive's future, not solely based on token price but on its growing ecosystem and potential for innovation.

Detailed Article:
Task starts by sharing his response to a recent program featuring Dan, Yabba, and Khal discussing Hive and its future. The central theme revolves around the difficulty of predicting Hive's trajectory over a decade due to the ever-changing nature of technology. Task draws a comparison between Hive's decentralized, community-driven approach and the more structured, centralized strategies typical of corporations or social media platforms.

He praises Hive for its speed and fee-less nature, pointing out that these features make it ideal for hosting a variety of applications that might struggle with high transaction fees on platforms like Ethereum. This emphasis on affordability and efficiency highlights Hive's potential to support a diverse range of content and applications without financial barriers.

Task delves into the idea of building an ecosystem around Hive, envisioning a two-layer structure that involves a decentralized node system and a smart contract platform. He stresses the importance of having a robust smart contract platform to facilitate developers in creating applications and tokens within the Hive network.

As Task outlines his vision for Hive's future, he underlines the significance of redundancy within the Hive communities. Despite having various focus areas, these communities share a common foundation of blockchain-based content creation, wallets, accounts, social media features, and financial activities. This redundancy, according to Task, serves as a protective measure against potential vulnerabilities or centralized control failures.

Furthermore, Task discusses the potential for Hive to evolve into a robust ecosystem with thousands of applications leveraging both Layer 1 and Layer 2 capabilities. He predicts that redundancy within the ecosystem will contribute to its resilience and longevity.

In his closing remarks, Task expresses optimism about Hive's future, emphasizing the value of the ecosystem's growth and innovation over token price speculation. He encourages viewers to stay tuned to his content for further insights and updates on Hive and related projects.
