Changing Our Thinking: Crucial In A Technology Based Show

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

We live in a world that is rapidly changing. Technology is advancing at a pace I never saw in my more than a decade following the different trends. COVID-19 actually pulled forward the trends that were already in place.

In this video I talk about the dangers of looking at the world the same way and how we need to change our thinking to adapt to the rapidly changing times.

If your mind isn't able to let go of old models of reality and quickly form new ones based upon available information you're going to get left behind. Quarantine hasn't affected me much to be fair but have worked from home for years already. This is certainly the start of a paradigm shift here me thinks and sounds like you thinks too.

Yeah I certainly think we are watching a number of paradigm shifts starting to take place. Working from home is going to only get bigger and have a great impact on many industries.

The most obvious is commercial real estate where corporations find they can get rid of a boatload of real estate.

Change is always hard and people are reticent to it, but doing it is the road to growth and gaining new experiences. Without it we would just stay within our boxes and live a boring life. Getting out of your comfort zone is what it pushes us forward as there are so many things to explore and experiment that we simply cannot grasp if our world is limited.

Free your mind and you will free what you can do in this world!

"Until your mentality is updated, your existence will be outdated."

It is a grave danger to hold on to how you used to think and see life decades ago. Times have changed, follow the technogical trends else you'll be lost in the crowd.

I see a separation between those who embrace technology and those who resist. Those who embrace may find abundance the likes they have never seen. The remainder will get left behind. Like Sears unable to adapt to a new world.

Summary:
In this video, Task discusses the significant changes happening in the world due to the unprecedented events of 2020, particularly the impact of COVID-19. He highlights the rapid shift towards remote work and the acceleration of technological advancements like automation, AI, and robotics. Task emphasizes the importance of changing mindsets to adapt to the evolving world, using examples like the cryptocurrency industry and the demise of companies like Kodak and Blockbuster to illustrate the consequences of resisting change. He also mentions the shift towards decentralized supply chains and the increasing use of 3D printing. Task urges viewers to embrace change and stay updated on emerging trends, warning that clinging to old mindsets may lead to obsolescence.

Detailed Analysis:
Task starts by reflecting on the unprecedented changes brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, leading to a massive global economic shift due to quarantines and lockdowns. This situation forced companies to reevaluate their operations, leading to a surge in remote work and a focus on supply chains and automation to adapt to the new normal.

He stresses the importance of changing mindsets to keep up with the rapidly evolving world, particularly in industries like cryptocurrency that challenge traditional financial beliefs. Task draws parallels between old companies like Kodak and Blockbuster that failed to adapt to emerging technologies and suffered consequences as a result. He also mentions the swift rise of Fortnite as an example of rapid industry disruption.

The discussion then shifts to the future of work, with Task pointing out the increasing acceptance of remote work and the potential impact on urban centers like New York. He raises questions about the viability of cities in the face of remote work opportunities and virtual cultural experiences.

Task touches on the advancements in 3D printing and the decentralization of supply chains, emphasizing the role of technology like automation and robotics in reshaping industries. He warns against maintaining outdated mindsets in the face of accelerating technological developments, especially in areas like AI, quantum computing, autonomous vehicles, and renewable energy.

In the closing remarks, Task emphasizes the need for constant adaptation and learning, stating that trends in technology are evolving rapidly and becoming more powerful. He encourages viewers to stay updated and flexible in their thinking to avoid being left behind by the changing landscape of industries and technologies.
