What Will Be The Impact Of The Tesla Semi?

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

There is speculation that the first Tesla Semis could be delivered in the nextcouple weeks. This would be a major achievement for the company and the industry.

In this video I discuss how the Semi, while very low production for the next year or so, could really ramp up by the middle of the decade. With a price tag of $150K-$200K each, if there is truly a savings on operations, this could drive many companies start to place orders. Tesla already has a couple thousand orders in hand even without more than a prototype. Whne production Semis start to hit the road, this will really allow companies to size up the savings.

The Tesla Semi truck is an important event for the entire automotive and transport sector in general. Here, too, TESLA can change the entire truck market. Here the challenge is enormous compared to those of electric cars, but we have already seen in the past that Tesla is able to set an impossible-to-achieve goal and achieve it. If I understand correctly, the first trucks should be released in 2023 and in addition to being comfortable, they will be equipped with state-of-the-art safety systems

They have big goals. We will see how much they are able to impact things going forward. There is a lot of uncertainty, especially regarding production.

For now, their roadmap is powerful. Of course, execution is always key.

Summary:
In this video, the discussion revolves around the potential launch and implications of the Tesla Semi. There are rumors of deliveries starting soon, with sightings of production vehicles in the US. The Tesla Semi production is currently in Nevada but will eventually move to Texas. Companies like Walmart and Pepsi have placed significant deposits for orders years in advance, attracted by the potential cost savings of operating Tesla Semis. The noise reduction, economic benefits, and Tesla's manufacturing capabilities and charging infrastructure are highlighted as key advantages. Despite uncertainties, the Tesla Semi could significantly impact the trucking industry and Tesla's revenues if successful.

Detailed Article:
The video delves into the exciting prospect of the Tesla Semi hitting the market, with rumors suggesting imminent deliveries of the electric trucks. While the legitimacy of these claims is questioned, reports of production vehicles in the US hint at a potential rollout. The current production site in Nevada is noted to have limited capacity, indicating a slow ramp-up even if deliveries begin shortly. The anticipation is high, especially after companies like Walmart and Pepsi placed significant deposits for large orders, showcasing their belief in the economic viability of the Tesla Semi.

The discussion emphasizes the shift in the economics of trucking that the Tesla Semi could bring. With estimates suggesting significant savings in operational costs, major players in the industry have committed to Tesla Semis years in advance. The noise reduction of electric vehicles compared to traditional diesel engines is highlighted as an additional advantage, potentially transforming the trucking experience on roads.

A key point of interest is Tesla's manufacturing prowess and extensive charging infrastructure. The mention of Tesla's ability to quickly scale up production and leverage its charging network adds further credence to the potential success of the Tesla Semi in the market. The financial implications are significant, with each Tesla Semi priced between $150,000 and $200,000, pointing towards substantial revenue streams for Tesla if mass production and deliveries are achieved.

The speaker acknowledges that while the future success of the Tesla Semi is not guaranteed and concerns around operational costs and performance exist, Tesla's prior usage of the Semi for its internal operations provides some confidence in the vehicle's capabilities. The video concludes on a note of cautious optimism, suggesting that if Tesla manages to bring the Semi to market successfully, it has the potential to disrupt the trucking industry and establish itself as a major player in the truck manufacturing space.
